What's my hand without your heart to hold?

I sit at the dining room table in my house with Thomas on my lap. I bounce him up and down as his cartoons play in the background. It's been a quiet few weeks with the club, and honestly, I couldn't have asked for more. Thomas starts giggling and I chuckle, smiling at him and kissing his forehead, "Is that right?" I say to him, tagging along with his noise.
I hear the front door creak open and I look up to see my mom smirking from behind the door. "Hey baby." She coos as she walks in, closing the door behind her. Gemma starts walking over to us and I smile.
"Hey Ma." I kiss her cheek and she gestures towards Thomas. I hand him over to her and she starts giving him kisses and tickling his tummy. She looks up at me and smiles, "I got the one you asked for." She says as she takes a paper bag from her purse and sliding it across the table to me. "The Opal one, yeah?"
I nod, taking the bag and opening it up to see the engagement ring. I smile, lifting it up and looking at it, planning the moment in my mind. "It's perfect, thanks mom." Gemma smiles back at me and then kisses Thomas on the head.
"I'm sure she'll love it. You two were destined to be together, I swear. We'd always tease Tig about how she was going to be a Teller. He hated it." She chuckles, standing up with Thomas on her hip. She walks over to the coffee maker and starts to make a fresh pot. "What are you planning on doing?"
I focus in on the ring and snap out of it, "I have a few ideas. Was thinking of maybe a fancy dinner, or maybe just a relaxing night with the boys and getting one of them to hold onto it and I'll ask her."
Gemma chuckles, "You do know Al likes things simple and hates surprises. Remember when Tig threw her that surprise sweet 16?"
I laugh, shaking my head, "Yeah, and she cried from being so scared of all of the people who jumped out." I stand up, pouring myself a cup of coffee and grabbing a cookie from the plate in the cupboard, biting into it and taking a seat back at the table. "I think I'll go with simple. You're right, she's never been a fancy girl, let alone a sucker for cheesy romance."
Gemma takes a seat from across me and sips on her coffee, "I think it's the best way, babe. You know Al better than most of us. She would rather be in a bubble bath, sleeping, working out or eating. Sounds an awful lot like you." she teases me, "Maybe that's why you two work out so well. When are you planning on popping the question?"
I shrug, "I would like to soon, but I don't want to scare her off. I mean, we've talked about it before. She called herself my old lady at the party."
Mom nods, taking another drink from the mug. "Then you won't scare her off. She knows it's a possibility and has obviously thought about it. Have you talked to Tig about it yet?"
I nod, "Briefly a few days ago. He said he would be happy for us but threatened me." I let out a laugh, "Like the million other times he has."
"You know that's his job. You'd do the same if you had a baby girl." Mom reassures me, and I nod, understanding why Tig is so protective over his daughters, especially Al. "You want another kid?" She asks me bluntly and I nearly choke on my coffee.
"Of course, I do, Ma. We've talked about all of this, don't start pressuring her into getting knocked up so you can have a third grandkid." I look up at her, "Hear from Wendy lately?"
Mom shakes her head, "Nope." She says, popping the 'p'. "Maybe that's a good thing."
I nod slowly, "Yeah, or she's planning something.
