Avengers: Infinity War - Fan Fic (Peter Parker's Perspective) Vol. 2

'Don't go... not again'

Peter hesitantly opened the door to see AI Tony standing there pacing. 'H-Hey...What's wrong?' 

Tony looked up to see Peter's concerned face. 'N-Nothing'

'Okay...Um well I was thinking of going out for a little. You know I haven't suited up in a while...'

'Sounds good'

As Peter's mask swiftly came on, he could hear Tony's voice inside the suit. 'You ready kid?'

'Yep, let's do it Mr. Stark'

Peter opened his window, and gripped to the building. He swung from building to building, the view was amazing. He had missed it so much. The way he could hear the wind whistle as he flew by, and the view of the sunset from the top building. He stopped swinging and sat on top of a building, the sun was setting, casting a golden blanket over the city. 

'Mr. Stark, anything going on?'

Tony did a scan, 'Nope there's nothing' Although that wasn't entirely true...

'Show me' Peter said. A map popped up and he quickly analysed it, looking for any trouble. 'Tony!' Peter shouted, 'Why didn't you tell me there was a armed robber of 6th avenue!' He continued to shout as he swung from building to building.

'I-'

'People could be in danger Tony!' Peter continued to swing. Peter eventually reached Sixth Avenue and spotted the armed robber, he was masked and was pointing the gun at someone. 

When that person came into focus, Peter stopped dead in his tracks, it was May...

'NO!' he shouted. Both May and the robber turned to him. 'Peter no!' she shouted. 

'Ahhhhh' the robber said, 'So our famous Spiderman's name is Peter?'. 

'Shit' both May and Peter thought to themselves.

'Take the mask off!' the robber ordered, 'Or she gets it!' he said pointing the gun at May.

'Kid...' he heard Tony's voice say. 'Mute!' Peter instructed.

'But kid-'

'Mute the AI system! I could have got here earlier if you just told me!'

Tony stayed mute at Peter's command. He had no choice, the AI in the suit was programmed to follow Peter's orders. 

Peter looked at May, her eyes full of plea, telling him not to do it. 

'I said take the mask off!' the robber boomed. 

'F-Fine...' The mask smoothly retreated. 

'Great, because I want to see the light fade from your eyes'

The robber aimed the gun at Peter. 

'No! Please! Shoot me instead!' May pleaded.

'To be honest, I'm not particular with who I shoot...both will cause Peter pain' the robber smiled, turning the gun back on May

Peter watched as the robber pulled the trigger. 'NO!' he yelled, throwing his arm in the air, the nano bots flew over to May. In the blink of an eye May was wearing the Iron Spider suit, leaving Peter defenceless. The bullet hit the suit and May was safe. May looked at Peter in shock, he was standing wearing ordinary clothes.

'It's bullet proof' Peter said.

The robber gave an eerie smile, 'Not to you'. The robber quickly turned to Peter then BANG.

Peter stumbled, looking down he saw a pool of blood quickly forming on his shirt. He clutched his abdomen, before falling to the floor. 

'NOO!!!' He heard May scream. She ran over to him, 'Peter... p-please d-don't go...n-not again' she managed to say through the tears.

'The ambulance is on its way' she heard Tony say. 

'T-Tony-?'

'Not now' Tony cut off.

The mask retreated to the suit and May looked into Peter's brown eyes, glazed with tears.

'M-May...'

'Shh... T-The ambulance is on its way... You-You're going to be okay...'

May noticed Peter's grip on his wound was loosening, and he was becoming paler and paler. 

'You don't... deserve this...' he managed to say.

'May press your hands to his chest, now!' Tony ordered. May did as she was asked. 'His heart is slowing down... he doesn't have long left...' Tony said. May could hear the fear in his voice. 

'Please Peter... stay with me. Please!' A hologram of Tony appeared next to Peter, coming out of the suit.

'Tony...' Peter said with a weak smile. 

'Kid. Come on, you gotta stay with us. The ambulance isn't far now. Just stay with us' 

May could hear sirens growing closer, 'They're here Pete! Just stay with us now'

The ambulance came around the corner and rushed to Peter's side. They carefully placed him on a gurney. 

Peter turned to the hologram of Tony, 'I'll see you soon...'

May watched as Peter was taken into the ambulance. One of the paramedics came up to her and said 'This is critical, we'll take you to the hospital in a different car, it's on its way' then went in the ambulance and closed the doors. 

Multiple paramedics were around Peter. Some giving him oxygen, others asking him questions to keep him awake. One lifted his shirt and began looking at his wound, 'It's bad' she banged on the door 'Go faster!' she yelled to the driver.

Peter slowly began to close his eyes, he fought to keep them open, but he just couldn't. 'Come on Peter, stay with us now' he heard the paramedics say. 'Stay with us'. The words echoed in his head... then it all went black. 

MAY'S POV

I watched as they drove him away. Another car, not too far behind came to pick me up. I got inside in a hurry, Peter's suit retreating to a little spider emblem. 

I looked out of the window, tears still falling down my eyes. I saw a little white box on the floor, it was Peter's birthday present. I had got in the car so quickly I didn't even think to turn back to pick it out. Peter's life was more valuable then any present. 

How a night can change so quickly... I thought to myself, turning back to the ambulance.
