I opened up the door to the Woods' grey Honda mini van and step outside on their front lawn. I look up at their grey three story house and couldn't believe what I'm seeing.
This house is my dream house. It has two windows on the third floor and three windows on second floor with white window seals. On the first floor the white door was merged over to the left making room for a large window. The house is topped off with a heart shaped window that looks like it leads to an attic.
Going up to the beautiful house there is a wooden porch with colorful flowers wrapping around the porch.
I snap back into reality and see Abigail and Jeffery get out the back as well. Abigail, Jeffery, and I sat in the back while Chris sat shotgun and their mom drove.
Chris is slowly getting out and asking for his crutches. I sit back and wait for him while his family goes inside. He gets the hang of it right before he gets to the steps. When he gets to the steps he stops with his tired face blank.
"She didn't tell me how to go up or down steps." Chris whispered like he was scared of the steps.
"Here, I will help. Can you balance on one foot for a second?" I asked him feeling bad because I'm taking a crippled's crutches but he slowly shook his head yes.
I take his crutches carefully making sure he had his balance. I put the crutches under my arm pits suddenly realizing how short I am compared to him. I put both crutches on the first step and hop up. I do the same for the next three. I take the crutches from under my armpits and turn back to Chris.
"See what I did?"
"Yes."
I hurry back down the steps and give Chris back his crutches. I stand beside him so if he does get off balance I can at least try to catch him. I watch him as he mimics my moves on going up the steps of his house. He gets to the top and is instantly worn out. I pull up a lawn chair so he can sit and rest.
"Are you okay?" I ask Chris.
"I will be." Chris says not hesitating.
He slowly gets back up on his crutches and hops towards the door. I silently follow after him just in case. There is a tiny step to get in the house from the porch and Chris makes it hopping inside. With me slowly following.
I take off my white and grey tennis shoes and follow Chris to the living room couch and sit down beside him. I look around the living room and see that it is just as amazing as the outside. The room is decorated with old country sort of stuff.
I realize just how tired I am even though I slept at the hospital. I start to doze of when I slowly hit something hard but I don't open my eyes because I know it is Chris. I can feel his warmth and his strong heart still beating inside of his chest. He moves a little and I feel something warm wrap round my body that I assume is a blanket. I smile slightly and go to sleep.

I wake up in my room feeling like something was wrong. I walk over to my bedroom window and peer out at my yard. I see a black dog with glowing yellow eyes staring at me. Wait. That's not a dog it's a wolf. I can tell by it's ears.
I yell for my mom but there was no answer. I yelled for my dad and the same thing happened. No one answered.
I looked at the wolf once again in my backyard. Then I ran through my house seeing if anyone was in the house. No one.
I put my hand of to my head and sighed. I grabbed my jacket and started down to Nicole's house. I hear clicking on the concrete and turn around to see the black wolf running after me. I start running as fast as I could. I scream and can't stop. I don't know what would happen if the wolf got me but I know it wouldn't turn out good.

I woke with Chris shaking me awake with fear in his eyes. I widened my eyes to see his whole family standing around me too. I started to smile because it was only a dream. Everyone around me had confused looks on their faces then went back to what they were doing before. Well, except Chris he couldn't do much.
"Bad dream?" He somewhat whispers.
"Yea." Is all I can say because I'm too confused and weirded out to say anything else.
"Want to talk about it?"
"Not really."
"Well, dinner is done." Chris' mother comes in and claps her hands to signal for everyone to get up and get in the dinning room.
I get up and give Chris his crutches and wait for him to get up. I slowly follow behind him to the dining room. I grab the inside of my right elbow with my left hand and bite my lip.
This is going to be really awkward. I was screaming in my sleep which probably makes them have the impression that I'm a little bit too weird.
I walk into the dining room and am taken back from what I see. The dining room has a large wooden dining table with a large flower center piece in the middle. There are three chairs on both sides of the table and then one chair on each end.
The room leads to a little rounded windowed room that looks out at the woods behind the house with wooden rocking chairs having a sitting space for looking out at the gorgeous site.
Chris sat down at the seat closest to him and right when I was about to sit down next to him Jeffery decided to take my seat.
"Jeffery!" Chris said looking at the boy.
"No, no, no, it's fine." I said trying not to get Jeffery in trouble.
Chris at the corner right by the head of the table so I couldn't sit by him because I didn't know whether or not his dad was coming and the Head is reserved for the father of the house. So I decided to sit directly across from Chris.
The food was passed around and I got small helpings from it and once everyone was about to start eating a middle aged man came running in the dining room.
He had tan hair that had strands of grey in mixed. He had Chris' nose and definitely Chris' body structure. He had muscular arms but not so much in the stomach. He was wearing a dress shirt with a tie and black dress pants.
"Sorry I'm late guys Rick told me that I had a new case and I had to research it." he said with a raspy voice.
He looked at the table saw everyone nod in approval and then he saw me.
"Who are you?" he looked confused and tired as he said those words.
"I'm Alana Nicole Livingston." I stretched out my hand for him to shake. He looked at my hand and then back at me.
I finally approved of his denial and hoped that no one else saw what just happened as my cheeks burned with embarrassment.
"I'm sorry I'm like a germaphobe. I rarely shake peoples hands." he said noticing my cherry cheeks which began to disappear.
"Oh, I understand." I whispered because I really didn't.
Chris looked at me with a sympathetic look and began to go back to eating. I started to eat to and this was the best meal I have ever tasted in my life.
After I got done I waited for everyone else to get done too.
"So, Alana do you play any sports?" Chris' father finally asked.
"I have played soccer since I was about five." I replied being proud of the fact I have soccer in my life.
"Oh, what position do you play?"
"Well, I play multiple but my favorite ones are goalie and forward." I said smiling because being a goalie is hard work.
"So tell us about yourself." the father asked.
"Well, I have lived in Lebanon for all of my life. I am a proud Lebanon lady tiger. My favorite color is orange, I have a best friend named Nicole, and I am officially a freshman. I have a scar on my left ankle from jumping on a trampoline last year and popping it out of place and having surgery on it. I was out of soccer season last year so I decided to still be on the team as a manager. I have a mom and dad. I have two half sisters that I treat like sisters. I have four nephews and a niece on the way. I am a fan of the colts, even though they sucked last year, and I'm also apart of the Pacer nation. I hate Lebron James as a basketball player but not as a person. I am a George Hill fan. I can play piano even though I don't show it. I plan to go to Purdue university to pursue a major in criminal justice and hopefully join the military after college. I really want to be a detective or even a lawyer when I grow up. Then my favorite animal is a tiger and my favorite flower is any type of hibiscus flower." I stop to catch my breath and smile.
Mr. Woods got up and pounded his fists in the air and smiled exclaiming, "Thank The Lord we have a Pacers fan in the house!"
I laughed and managed to say, "Yep."

After dinner I went home and told my parents what happened. When I was finished they had joy in their eyes. At least I thought it was joy.
"WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU WERE THINKING?" my mom started the argument.
"I don't know, okay?" I said looking away.
"You made that boy break his leg? What were you thinking Alana?" my mom went on.
My face was fuming so I went back to my room. I grabbed my shoes and my cleats. I start through the living room again and went out the door. I run towards the middle school because that's where the soccer fields are. They leave the sheds unlocked but there is a fence around the fields for some security. It is about a ten foot fence so I mean all you have to do is climb it.
I get there and I start climbing the fence. Once I get to the top I jump off instead of climbing down. I go to the shed and get a ball and then dribble to the field. I finally put my cleats on and throw my shoes to the side. I kick the ball at the goal and it goes over the cross bar. The same thing happens about 20 more times.
I drop down to the ground and punch it in frustration. I punch it again and again. This stupid ball doesn't like the stupid goal. I'm so done with everything. I leave the ball and grab my shoes and head back home.
