Chapter 6

Kelly's POV

I just stood there. This is the guy that keeps me from dating. Because of him, I don't trust relationships. And right when I was getting comfortable with a guy, he shows up.

Why is he in Virginia? He said he moved but he never said Virginia.

"I see you've met my best friend Carter." Matt said coming back with our punch. Wait best friend?!

"Ya I have" I said awkwardly.

"Well I should get going. My bros gonna worry. Thanks for everything Matt" I said smiling and turning away. I can't believe this...

"Wait Kelly I-" Carter started but I cut him off.

"Bye Carter." Was all I said before walking off to find Maddie.

"Can I take you home?" Matt asked catching up to me.

"Uh no it's fine but thanks for the offer." I said smiling.

"Oh uh ok. Will I see you around?" he asked.

"Yah of course" I said.

"Ok cool." Matt said smiling. That's when I went to find my best friend.

It took me about 20 minutes to find her. She was making out with Nash. Eww.

"Earth to Maddie! I'm leaving." I said and they pulled away.

"Wait why?" she asked concerned.

"I'll tell you later, you can stay. I'm just going for a walk." I assured her.

I walked outside and I honestly don't know where I'm going. I didn't pay attention on how to get here. To be honest I was starring at Matt.

I finally found a nice place to just sit and think.

Why is he here? What about Matthew? I really like Matthew, do I still like Carter?

These questions kept running through my head and I don't know the answer to any of them.

"Uggghhh" I moaned putting my face in my hands. I felt tears start to fall.

"My life is falling apart all over again just like when mom died." I cried. That's when someone touched me. I looked up and I was shocked.

"Matt?" I asked.

"I'm here for you and what ever you're going through I'll help you get through it, I promise." He said. That's when I broke out into tears. No ones ever been here for me like this and we just met.

"Matt Thankyou....you really don't have to." I replied still crying.

"I don't have to but I want to. I want to be here for you. Right when I saw you in the car, I fell in love. I really like you and I'm not going to let anyone or anything hurt you." He said. That's when it happened.

He grabbed my face and kissed me. It was passionate. It was nice and I liked it.

We both pulled away.

"Woah" we both said. That's all we could say.
