Hey guys! Thank you for reading my book Deadly 😄 I hope you enjoy
*picture of Zola's den on the sideZola comfortably sat on her old, worn down bean bag in her secret den. Her den was located in the loft and Zola got there by climbing halfway up the stairs and then swinging across the banister to her private hideout. No one would ever suspect another room in her house. No one apart from her and her gran knew about it. That's why she adored it so much. Lying on her bed contemplating her surroundings, Zola's brain raced to her birth.
Long ago there was a war between two races : The Anopheles and The Humans. For a long time the humans had wanted to expand their land and find riches on the side belonging to the Anopheles part of Zantarium ( the country ). Zola knew all this because when she was born she had a book all about her and Zantarium. However as this battle was occurring, no one noticed the secret birth from a young Anopheles princess named Zania and a young Human man called Barnaby. Zania had fiery red hair, copper hexagonal patterned eyes, golden skin and beautiful silver wings. The Anopheles were descendants of the mosquitos but with certain human like features. They were known for their bug ish eyes, for instead of having a pupil or iris this majestic species had honeycomb eyes like hexagons that varied of exotic colours and hues.
Even though different races are forbidden to fall in love Zania and Barnaby carefully kept their romance to themselves. Before Zania even knew it, She had given birth to a beautiful little half Anopheles and half human baby girl. But Zania didn't want her new precious little baby ever harmed, so her and Barnaby summoned a wolf spirit to protect her. Up from the purest heavens came the image of perfect cuteness. It was a quaint, little husky puppy. He had dark chocolate as well as white fur and the dreamiest of icy blue eyes. They accepted him like family and named him Coby-
"Zola dear! Come down for lunch darling!" Shouted Granny.
"Coming!" She replied, however Zola knew she was too deep in her thought to come right way "five minutes Gran!"
Suddenly many officers came and took Zola's father away after the Queen found out about their romance and Zania decided that Zola needed better protection. So one night Zania wrapped the baby up in a blanket and placed the sleeping child in a basket with a hand written book all about who Zola was and why her mum couldn't be there for her, as well as the history of Zantarium so Zola knew about the war even if it has stopped or was still happening. Zania also put the snoring Coby in the woven basket next to Zola with a note attached to the baby saying ' Help! my family is in danger and had to abandon me. My name is Zola Parkinson and I am sleeping next to my puppy Coby. Please raise me and take care of me and don't let anyone take this special book or puppy that was given to me by my mother.
Zola's mum rang the doorbell and fled. She was never seen again. From then on Zola was raised by the old woman she now called Granny.
"Zola!" Shouted Granny angrily.
" Sorry! I'm coming." Jumped Zola.
Zola raced downstairs to be invited into the kitchen by the smell of hot dogs. She quickly wolfed one down and through on her flowery raincoat and boots.
" Zola where are you going dear? Oh and will you slow down please?" Pleaded Granny.
" Just taking Coby out for his walk I forgot to walk him in the morning Gran and he's peeing EVERYWHERE! Coby! Stop!" Commanded Zola as Coby squatted by the stairs.
Zola threw his leash on and dashed out of the door.
" See ya Gran!" Called Zola.
" Honestly that girl." Sighed Granny.
Zola bounded down the street, her rustic red hair flipping in the wind, with Coby eagerly running ahead, making sure she kept up. Panting tiredly after running at least 3 blocks Zola flopped down in her favourite spot on moonstone hill while Coby rested his soft fluffy paws on her thigh. She stared at the warm afternoon landscape with her dark chestnut eyes and tanned skin with golden hues reflecting of the setting sun. She knew at that very moment that nothing could be more perfect than that.
