In the morning Zola quickly gobbled some food and packed up her things.
She quietly left the tent and summoned two animals. A lion and a dragon. The lion would look after her stuff and when she returned with Coby she could easily pick up her things. The dragon was transport to Baynick. The lion was first to arrive, he had a billowing copper mane and gorgeous soft, gold fur. Zola smiled and hugged him. Next was the dragon. Her breath was taken away. It was one of the most beautiful creatures she had ever seen. The dragon had white and silver webbed scales and beautiful bright blue eyes, it seemed to make the atmosphere feel like Winter even though it was currently Autumn.Zola slowly approached the magnificent being.
" Thank you for coming oh wise one. May I know of your name?" Wondered Zola.
The dragons melodious voice made Zola's entire body shiver. The dragon was speaking to her through her mind.
"You are most welcome little one. I am Sora which means sky. You must be Zola the great caller. You will not need me coming back from Baynick so I will be leaving." Explained the dragon.
"Of course." Bowed Zola. Zola did not bother to question Sora, she was a dragon and most dragons know a lot about the future.
Zola stepped forward and bowed she them mounted up on her back.
As Sora slowly stood up, Zola could feel all of the giant muscles and ligaments of the dragon writhing underneath her. Then all at once Sora's long sparkling wings unfolded and swallowing air, pushing them off the ground and into the sky.The view from above was amazing. Sparkling, endless rivers, luscious, green trees. Zola actually felt at piece for a while. That was until she saw a grimy, oily black building situated right in the middle of the forest. All the trees surrounding it had withered and turned brown. Zola and Sora both grimaced.
"This is Baynick." Announced Sora.
Sora abruptly turned right. " Sora, what are you doing?" Exclaimed Zola in shock.
Sora did not reply but instead landed in another part of the forest to the east.
Once they landed, Zola dismounted and gave the dragon a puzzled look.
" Sorry, perhaps I didn't explain enough. We're supposed to be going into that building there to find Coby." Explained Zola.
"No, we're not." Calmly replied Sora. The dragon then sidestepped to the left revealing Kerrie bounding towards us carrying Dylan in her arms. He looked hurt.
" Kerrie what happened?!" Exclaimed Zola.
Panting, Kerrie exclaimed " We woke up and heard noises outside, w-we thought you'd just gone outside to practice before you left. I woke Dylan up and we both went outside to greet you when we saw some rapid homeless people trying to eat a lion that was carrying all of your stuff! I screamed and pushed them away trying to sterilise the lion's wounds..
Zola gasped in shock.
... And Dylan fought the hooligans but- but they had sticks, sharp sticks and they kept on stabbing him.. So I quickly removed your things from the lion and he attacked them for us. Afterwards Dylan just lay on the floor. Just lay there. I started panicking and the lion looked as if I should leave with Dylan and find you. The lion stalked around your pile of belongings and sat down, acting like a guard dog. I nodded and ran out here hoping to find you." Kerrie grasped Zola hand, panting and shaking.
" Kerrie it's fine, calm down-" whispered Zola.
"NO! It's not fine-" shouted Kerrie, tears bubbling out of her like a volcano.
" LOOK AT HIM!" She whined.
Peering over a Dylan, now laying on the forest floor, acid clawed at Zola's throat. A large , slimy stick was lodged in his leg. The area was infected, pustular and green.
" Oh god!" Cried Zola, her hands covering her shocked mouth.
