When I woke up the room was dark, and I didn't remember where exactly I was. The memories started to come back to me and I sat up, looking for Harry. I reached out my hand and felt for him on the bed, but he wasn't there. I got up and walked slowly towards the door, where a faint light was coming from. I slowly walked down the hallway, searching for Harry and the bathroom. I saw stairs and slowly walked down them, not wanting to wake anyone up. I reached the last step and saw Harry sleeping on the couch. As I walked closer I could see that his mouth was open a little and he looked very uncomfortable.

I moved closer and sat down in front of his stomach. I studied his dreaming face. His curls were messy and some piled onto his forehead. I move them aside. His face looked pale in the low light, but you could see the bumps where his acne was. I never thought acne could be cute, but on Harry it definitely was. You couldn't see his blue eyes, only his eye lids. He had a crease between his eyebrows, and it looked like he was worried about something in his dream. He had stubble along his jaw and chin, making him look older.

I kiss the tip of his nose, which causes his eyes to flutter. He looks around, still groggy and unaware, before looking at me. He sits up so that I could sit next to him on the couch.

"You didn't have to sleep on the couch." I told him, grabbing his hand.

"I wanted you to be comfortable." He replied in a raspy voice. Totally sexy.

We were silent for a few minutes.

"I have a question Autumn. Why did she do that to you? Why did any of them do it?" I sigh and move away, not wanting him to read my face.

"Remember that cheerleader?" I ask, waiting to see him nod before continuing.

"Well that's her. Her name's Jamie Harris. " Harry grabs my hand again, silently telling me to share the whole story.

"A rumor spread around school that I had been sleeping with a bunch of guys. Which I wasn't. I hadn't even kissed a boy, but all of a sudden I was having sex with them left and right. One of the names mentioned was her boyfriend. She told me to stay away and I told her she was stupid if she believed that I would do anything with her sleaze of a boyfriend. A week later, while I was in the girls change rooms, she came in with a pair of scissors. I asked her what the hell she was doing. She told me that I deserved everything I was going to get. She hit me and I hit my head on the floor. Hard. I felt pain, but not much. I woke up in a hospital bed. They told me that Jamie had saved my life. That she had yelled for help when she saw me slip in the shower and got cut on some broken tile."

"And they believed that?" Harry asked, his voice hard. I looked over at him and smiled a broken smile.

"People don't really like me here, so they believed anything." He nodded, not asking any more questions. He lifts up the shirt I was wearing to show the scars. He pulls me closer to him and kisses every scar.

"I'm so sorry, Autumn. You don't deserve to be treated like that." His voice cracks, and I look up to find that he had tears in his eyes. My breath gets caught in my throat when I see how much pain he's in. Almost like my pain was also his. I had never had someone look at me that way, and just that looked caused me to break down and finally release all the pain I had been holding in. But at the same time, it was like reliving everything I had tried so hard to keep down. Reliving a life I never asked for.
