"We all saw the attack of Fang Clan. They stole our food and left something else in return." Jaggedclaw said after his arrival on the rock after summoning the rest of the clan . Amberscale wondered if he would tell the truth, or leave them in question, or perhaps lie.
"They left a Denonichus. Son of Starfang, Firefang. He says they left him here half dead, and for us to finish them off. We need a heir to lead us so I have decided, because his truthfulness, and his relation to me makes him rightful to be so. Those who question this, ask now or never." Jaggedclaw said sharply, yet peacefully at the same time.
"I do." Spoke the most strong of the clan, a Ventasaurus, Ashsong. He was a nice and wise member of the clan, but you never wanted to be on his bad side.
"Yes?" Jaggedclaw said calmly.
"Do you know the exact relation? Between you and him?" Ashsong spoke out of curiosity.
"Yes.... He's in a valid relation." Jaggedclaw blankly, and calmly stated
"So do I" arose a figure across them. It was a more vicious brother of Ashsong, Smelter. "Do you see this as a victory, or a loss?"
"I see it in both ways. It is more beneficial if we keep him. Its treason if he decides to try to kill us... It will be two clans upon him instead the help of one." Jaggedclaw answered calmly.
"And what is your relation might I presume?" Smelter said more malicious and with intent eyes.
Jaggedclaw stood so still, he made it look like time stopped til his jaws opened. "He is my--"
"Should we really get into questioning our leader? We are questioning a future one's authority." pointed out Lake, an elder clan member. "The knowledge is useless anyway. We can go on with life without it."
Smelter nodded. He might be a scare, but he had respect.
"Anything else?" Jaggedclaw resumed, as the crowds silence became like a vortex. Jaggedclaw dismissed them with the wave of his tail, and he headed to his den. It was already moon time and Tide, Amberscale and Jaggedclaw went to there dens as the newly promoted raptors thought of the question-What else don't we know?.
