Love Is a Strong Word Part 3 - Sonamy Saga

Chapter 10- Sonamy Began

(Flashback)

"So you do like her?" Tails said. "I don't know! Maybe, I guess!" Sonic said frustrated. "All these years you've just been dodging her. Annoyed." But you do actually like her..?" Tails said with a smile. "I... I just can't tell her." It would put her in harms way! I couldn't live with myself if I got her killed." Sonic said upset.

Amy ran around the corner to talk to Sonic, the hedgehog she's followed and been crushing on for years. But she heard them talk, and she wanted to eaves drop.

"And it's not just that.." Sonic said. "I think I... I think I love her..." Sonic said with a blush. Tails looked at him in a way Sonic has never seen. Amy was shocked to hear all this. She knew it was probably her he was talking about.

"Eggman could get her or worse!.. Kill her!" He said freaking out. Amy looked in the mirror on the wall beside her. She was blushing bright red. "The guy I've been chasing all my life... May actually love me..?" She though in her head. "And that's why I can't tell her." Amy couldn't take it anymore. She jumped in front of the doorway, where Tails and Sonic looked at her. "...Sonic..?" Amy said with a big beautiful smile. And tears running down.

"Amy!... I.." She ran up to Sonic and hugged him tight like she always did. But only this time, he hugged her back as well. She out her head on his chest and started crying tears of joy. It was the happiest day if her life. "My dream had come true!" She said in her head.

(End of flashback)

Amy went to bed, alone thinking of that day. She couldn't sleep because she was so happy thinking of it. "Goodnight Sonic." She turned over saying with a smile. But her smile faded, forgetting he was in the lab. She couldn't take it, she got up, and ran into the lab.

Sonic heard unexpected footsteps that stopped at the doorway. "Who's there..?" He said in a tired voice. He looked up and saw Amy. "Amy.. It's late. You need to go to be-" he got cut off because Amy ran up and kissed him on the lips. He grabbed her head, and kissed back.

"Sonic.." Amy said curiously with a smile only. "Yes?" "Do you remember how we first met..?" She said As she pulled up a chair to Sonic's bed. Sonic looked up at her and said, "Ofcourse I do. I didn't think of it for a long time, but now I realize it was the happiest day of my life." He said wht a smile. Amy pulled the blanket down off Sonic. Because she didn't see the too of his scar anymore.

His scars, bruises and scratches were all gone. She put her forehead on Sonic's and looked down. In happiness. "Amy listen to what I said earlier, and go to bed." He pretended to sound serious. She thought he was, and walked away sad. "Because I'm gonna join you." He said with a smile. "She turned around and had her beautiful smile.

So Sonic ran up to her, and picked her up bridal style. She looked at him with a blush. He ran straight down the lab's hallway, and turned the corner into his bedroom. He gently sat her down on her side of their bed. He then layed down beside her. Getting cozy, they both pulled up the blanket.

Sonic wrapped his arm around her side, and they both fell asleep happy.

"Knuckles are you feeling okay..?" Rouge said feeling concerned. "Yes I'm just... Yeah." He said with a smile. "She got under his arm and laid in his chest. "Hun I can't fall asleep. Can you tell me a story..?" Rouge said with her puppy dog face. He smiled back at her. "Ugh I guess." He said playfully.

"Eighteen years ago, there was a family of echidnas. That couple had a baby. The baby loved it's mom and dad. They did everything together. From, going to the store... To sleeping in it's parents room. Until one fateful day, the evil Dr. Eggman's robots went through house to house looking for newborns.

Which they would take and robotisized. In those dark days, they hid their baby in a slot they built in their floor, under their mat. He watched as his parents got taken, never heard from again. But, fifteen years later, he grew up. And met a beautiful bat.

He always had a crush on her, but never told her. All they did was argue and bicker. But one year later, they began showing feelings for each other. And they went on a quest to help their friends. No, their new family. You see the bat lost her family at a young age too. But, one day the beautiful bat got badly hurt by a falling building.

The red grown up echidna, ran up to her and dug her out. He then grabbed her shoulders, and cries on her chest. He told her he loved her. And she was alive to hear it. That's the day it all changed. And the red echidna? That echidna was Knuckles. And the beautiful bat, was Rouge."

He finished his story as he looked down on his chest. He saw her with her head and hand on his chest. She was fast asleep, purring. That was his favorite part about her falling asleep on him.
