Chapter 8: The Challenge

Isabella's POV

~Time Skip To 1 Week Later~

Well. I officially hate Herobrine. Really? A challenge? With a sigh, I get up gently putting Cosmo's head back on the pillow. I walk downstairs to the kitchen and make myself some food, along with getting a saucer with meat in it for Cosmo when she wakes up. I sit down in one of my chairs, and almost immediately have a slight flashback from when my mother died. I shake my head to clear it, and finish eating when Cosmo comes down and starts to eat too. After she finishes, I grab her saucer and wash it in the sink (I guess you could say that the Better Furniture Mod-is that even a mod?-is installed). *There isn't much food in the fridge, (BajanCanadian<3) so I should probably go hunting...* I go to the living room and go through a secret door next to the TV which is the weapons room. I grab my favourite sword, which is an blue iron sword with a flame pattern on it and Greek words embedded into its side (Again, lets just say there's TONS of mods in the game, okay?), and then my blue bow and arrows. I walk out the door with Cosmo and into the forest. I walk deep into it, then stop and close my eyes, listening for any signs of prey when I hear a faint Moo. My eyes snap open and I grin. *Cows!* I swiftly and silently move towards the place I heard the cow at, Cosmo right at my side. I continue to run when I find a whole herd of cows, a few meters away from a plains biome. I kill all of them, except for four, and am about to head home, when I hear groans, hissing, clanks, and wobs. I turn around to find a huge swarm of mobs, all of which is running to me. *What?! How are they running?! Maybe it's the fact that they're different when you're in the game...* I stand my ground and take my bow and arrows out, hitting as many as I can before they reach us, then I put them away, swapping it for my sword. I swing my sword wildly while Cosmo bites everything that gets near her. An explosion from a creeper sends me flying into a tree, which makes me think *Of all the mobs there are, there has to be creepers!* I stand up again and dodge an arrow from a skeleton, and slowly make my way back to Cosmo, slicing and cutting everything in my way. Unfortunately, we soon start to get overwhelmed and we have to retreat. I quickly start to run away, as fast as I can, with Cosmo (Of course) running next to me. As we're running, the ground starts to rumble and I look behind us, and see that the ground is splitting apart! We start to run even faster at this, and the endermen keep on teleporting right infront of us, making it hard to dodge, not to mention tons of arrows flying through the air! I see a huge crevasse in the ground further up ahead, which makes me worry, but if I try to veer away from it, the mobs would block our way! *It's not too big, maybe we could jump it..?* I glance at Cosmo, and tell her "Okay Cosmo, here's what we're going to do. We, my friend, are going to jump over the huge crevasse ahead. Well, at least try..." . She gives a barely audible bark, and runs even faster. When we're right infront of the crevasse, and I think *Goodbye world!* And give a huge leap of faith. Everything feels like it's going in slow motion, and I see the other side of the crevasse right under our feet, before I get hit in the stomach with an arrow, and I black out, but not before feeling the ground and excruciating pain on my feet.

Cliffhanger! Sorry everyone for not updating, my mum seems like she's tossing between banning me from the computer, or letting me have it... It's super annoying!
