"Long ago, when the world believed dragons were only myth. The world was ruled by humans, in that world, it was human kill everything. All that changed when the sky opened and out came creatures that would burn the world to ash. Millions of lives lost in a matter of one year, the human army tried to kill them but no missile could breach the armored skin on the dragon's body. Soon the whole human race would be gone, but that didn't happen. Everything changed when a man appeared. 'He is just a man', they all thought until they witnessed him controlling and even riding a dragon with scales as black as the night sky. Once he came, the killings and number of wild dragons dropped, he had tamed them all. He came to be called Kahlo in our language or to the humans, he was the Dragon King. With Kahlo riding a dragon, he showed only the loyal ones how to do the same. That is how the Riders were born." The man stopped talking as he looked at the two faces of his children. "I think it be for bed soon my children."
"Oh come now father, please finish the story," a little boy with white hair begged.
"Yes father please," a young girl with black hair begged as well.
"Alright, but it be bed right after or your mother would have my head." They both giggled and waited for their father to continue the story. "Peace flowed over the world, he put in place, his own form of rule. Each country would be ruled by a single Rider and their clans. Each of the lands had dragons and their riders ruling the country. He led the other dragons back into the opening where the wait for their Rider. Kahlo did this to keep the peace and that is how the peace remained in this world but something appear that would be the cause the downfall of the peace." The children gasped making the father smile. "Now to bed you two go."
"Ah but father." They both whined but he covered them with the blanket.
"No buts, to bed. I'll see you both in the morning." He kissed their heads making them smile.
"Goodnight father." They both said as he closed the door.
"Brother," the girl whispered getting her brothers attention as he looked over at her. "Do you think that the bad thing father spoke about is real?""No sister, father won't even let anything destroy the peace we lived. Father will fight to keep it safe." Her brother's words made her smile.
"You are right Akin." She said smiling.
"Of course I'm right Kiza, now go to bed before father comes back in." Akin rolled over so his back was facing his sister and went to sleep. Kiza looked out the window at the bright moon shining on that dark night, she smiled and closed her eyes.
"Goodnight moon and night," Kiza whispered before going to sleep.

The story of Kahlo and the dragons are real. The dragons came from a large opening in the sky that became known as the Nest, the future Riders only became riders by climbing the Uykaio, the Great Tree. A connection between the ground and the Nest, by climbing up the vine-like tree into the sky, about 35,000 feet above the ground. One slip and you fall to your deaths. Being up so high most people wouldn't be able to breathe without gear but thanks to the generations of Riders that came before the lungs of today Riders are different than normal humans. Riders must be able to survive harsh conditions in order to ride their dragons, that includes riding at high elevations and living through rough temperatures. To find their dragon, the Riders must climb and survive the climb. High winds have been the cause of many deaths. Once reaching the top, the riders step onto a rock platform where their dragons would be waiting.
When the rider is born so is their dragon, when the rider turns eighteen they are ready for the climb. They will climb and pray that they'll survive. Upon reaching the top their dragon is waiting and ready for their first ride, a bond is made only by the first ride. A mind link between rider and dragon, this way orders, and information came to be given without nearby enemies hearing the conversation between the two. Once the bond is complete, it is for life. If the dragon dies so does the rider if the rider dies so does the dragon. But as it is hard to kill a dragon, it is also hard to kill their rider. A dragon has the ability to create a dragon-scale like armor over the body of the rider, not many things and pierce the body of the rider and dragon. Only weapons made by a special type of metal that is found in the dead bodies of dragons.
When a dragon dies their blood becomes a special kind of metal, if you harvest that metal you can create weapons that can kill dragons. Not many people can get this metal and since they kill dragons the metal is forbidden to use in weapons. But some enemies will kill one dragon to have this metal, so a rider will also die. Some would kill their own men to get the dragon metal to make weapons.
The darkness that will come to destroy the peace of the world, arrived in the form of two. One Rider and one Dragon. Both known as Bones. The Bone Rider and the Bone Dragon. They have come to kill the peace and take over the world, they are killing everyone that is or will stand in their way. One of those clans is the Black Heart Clan. The clan of Kiza and Akin.
London burning when the Dragons first came.
