Desert Dancing

Skyra took me back to her village, it was amazing. Seeing another dragon village beside my own, they are much different than mine. They are very grounded and had pretty large houses, their dragons can actually walk inside their homes. Skyra showed me around to the villagers, many elders saw me as some kind of god, the children wanted to touch me. Apparently, when me being Queen there was something else about me that made them want to get close to me, it was my eyes. In the Desert Clans, violet eyes meant god so that would explain why so many saw me as such. Skyra took me to her house where to my surprise waited for a man and infant.

"I am home my love, I have also brought our Queen." The man turned around and looked at me.

"Welcome my Queen, am I Talco," he bowed his head to me, he held out the infant.

"This is our sons Talan." He looked like a mini version of his father. "Talan, this is our Queen, the Mother of Dragons." He reached out for me, I've held children before. I looked to Skyra for permission, she handed him to me. He touched my face then my hair, he started giggling. Skyra and Talco both smiled.

I stayed for dinner, Dragas came to the village with a mouth full of fish. So everyone was going to bed with full stomachs. The villager prepared a banquet for Dragas and me, there were music, food, and dancing. Everyone was laughing and smiling, that was something Skyra told me they hadn't done in a long time. The rumors were true, we weren't the only ones the Bone dragon had attacked. Skyra had told me that they once lived in a grand city of stone. They had lived there since the time of Kahlo. Ten years ago the Bone dragon and their riders came and attacked the city, they burned and destroyed everything. The Desert Clans were forced to flee and live on the desert plans, they were lucky to have the ocean to use for water and food. Skyra said that the people learned quickly on how to survive out here and she said it wasn't too bad. Everyone continued dancing and singing, I clapped with the rhythm. Dragas was behind me looking down from above, he seemed to be enjoying himself as well. Later that night everyone was either passed out from drinking to much or somehow managed to get into their beds. The night was quiet and peaceful. Skyra and I were sitting on a small dune that overlooked the sea.

"What is your homeland like?" She asked me, I smiled.

"It's very different than yours. We live on a mountainside covered with trees and green. We aren't anywhere near the sea so this is my first time seeing it. First time seeing sand as well. We hunt just about anything in the area, we fly with the mountain winds. It's a lot harder than here, you feel like the winds are purposely trying to make you fall." We both smiled.

"I would love to see it one-day Kiza. DO you think your people would mind?" I shook my head.

"They would be honored to have you and your clan to visit. My mother will love to hold Talan." We both laughed, looking up at the night sky I softly smiled. "That's one thing we have in common. We have the same night sky."

"Kiza, if you ever decided to go against Bones, know that I will stand with you." I looked at her in shock, then it hit me. I wasn't the only one who wanted vengeance against Bones.

"When the days comes, we'll fight side by side then," I said, she smiled. We both looked up and watched the sky for a few more minutes before Skyra stood up.

"Come, let us get some sleep." I stood up and walked over to Dragas, I laid on his outstretched arm. "Goodnight Kiza."

"Goodnight Skyra." She went to her house while Dragas and I both fell asleep. The next day everyone had gathered in front of Dragas and myself as we were saying our goodbyes. Skyra and I hugged each other tight, Dragas and Hook nudged heads together. "Goodbye, for now, my friend. We'll see each other again." I whispered to her, she smiled.

"Soon my friend, you and Dragas are always welcomed here." I smiled and mounted up. I looked back at the riders and dragons below. I waved to them before Dragas and I took off, heading back home. It was time, time to make the plans of war. War Against Bones.
