"Viola!" Sherlock screamed as she was hit by Merissa's bullet and fell into the pool.

He felt a pain in his head.

Moriarty and Merissa made to leave.

"No! You two deserve to die! Which should I kill first?!" Sherlock cried as he took out he second gun he had brought.

"You're letting sentiment get to you. Terrible choice," Moriarty jeered.

"Mr. Holmes, just give me gun," Irene said, who was standing to Sherlock's side, looking at the spot where Viola had landed.

"No! He deserves to die! They both deserve to die! How could you ever possibly think of having sex with him? Just......," Sherlock said, nearly crying.

"You've become so....human," Irene said in disbelief. "Just give me the gun."

Sherlock looked at her and looked in her eyes. He could trust her, he convinced himself. He loved-

He handed her the gun.

"Thank you," Irene acknowledged.

The next moment was very much to Sherlock's surprise. He heard a gunshot and couldn't make out where it came from. He looked to his side and there was Irene with the gun still pointed at Moriarty whose abdomen was bleeding. He fell faint and most likely was going to bleed to death. Merissa stood there, silent and in disbelief.

"Irene....," Sherlock whispered for what seemed like the hundredth time that day.

Irene threw the gun to the side and grabbed Sherlock's arm.

"I just.....I.....," she murmured, panting.

There was a cry. It was Merissa.

"Merissa," Irene said, trying to calm her down.

"No! Don't you dare talk to me! You........," Merissa exclaimed.

"Merissa," Irene repeated.

"Irene, don't," Sherlock whispered.

"YOU KILLED HIM!!!! I HATE YOU, I ALWAYS HAVE, BUT YOU KILLED HIM!!!! YOU...YOU ARE NOT MY MOTHER!!!!!" Merissa screamed.

"I know-"

"AND DON'T YOU DARE TRY TO GET ME TO BE ON YOUR SIDE!!!!!! I WILL NEVER BE LIKE YOU!!!!!"

And with that, Merissa got up and walked towards the door.

"Oh, and don't forget about your precious, little Viola."

Sherlock and Irene eyes both widened. They ran over to the other side of the pool where Viola had fallen. At the bottom of the pool, the two could see a black figure and blood in the water surrounding her. Sherlock dove in and came out with the body and drenched in watery blood. Irene went to the Viola and attempted to wake her.

"Viola, wake up. You know you can."

"Irene," Sherlock whimpered, "No pulse."
