In a pawn shop, Sam, Dean and I were fighting a giant green dinosaur plushie, who was trying to throw Dean around, pushing him into a shelf. His eyes were glowing purple. The dinosaur pushed Dean to the floor. Sam and I pushed him away. Aiden and Amara used their power to throw the dinosaur into the wall, making him fall. Sam and I helped Dean stand. Aiden and Amara knelt down to punch the dinosaur repeatedly, still using their power to make sure he couldn't move.
I took out a flask. "Holy oil. Okay, move."
Aiden and Amara backed away from the dinosaur, but kept him down with their magic. I poured holy oil over the dinosaur. Aiden used his power to set the dinosaur on fire. The dinosaur roared, thrashing on the ground as it started to burn, but Aiden and Amara's power kept him pinned down. After several seconds, it exploded, raining costume parts and stuffing all over the store, making us jump and duck reflexively.
Amara smiled, blowing a piece of hair out of her eyes. "Oh."
"Whoa," Aiden told us.
The shop owner walked in from outside. "Is it over?"
"Yeah," Sam answered. "Yes. Uh, sorry about the mess."
"You guys just took down an evil plushie that was trying to kill me," the owner told us. "We're all good."
A man walked in, calling out to the owner. "Alan? Everything okay in here?"
Alan stepped in front of the man to stop him from walking further into the shop. "Oh, uh, hey, Jay."
"I heard the ruckus next door," Jay told him. "And I... what in the--what... holy heck?"
"It--it was a--a..." Dean trailed off.
"Did they do this?" Jay asked.
"No," I told him. "Nah, it was a... defective product. Yeah, sometimes the batteries in these... giant stuffed dinosaurs just explode."
Dean chuckled. "Yeah, never buy anything from Mooselyvania."
"Mm, exactly," Sam told him.
Jay looked at us skeptically. "Okay."
"Uh, guys, this is Jay," Alan told us. "He's the big man around this neighborhood. Owns practically the whole damn thing. The Chinese joint, the laundromat."
"Great," Aiden told him. "Great, great, great. Yeah, that's very cool. Can you guys give us a second?"
"Yeah," Alan answered.
We walked away to talk alone.
"Nice cover, Ness," Dean told me.
I chuckled. "Yeah."
"What the hell was that?" Amara asked. "I mean, we rolled into town because people were seeing a lizard monster. And yes, we tracked it back here, but no way did I think we'd end up..."
"Killing Barney?" Aiden finished.
"Yeah," Amara answered.
Dean smiled. "Was pretty satisfying, though, wasn't it?" Aiden, Amara and I smiled. "Probably just a cursed object."
"Well, it didn't act like a cursed object," I told them. "We should probably do some digging."
Jay walked toward us suddenly. "Everything all right?"
We looked at him suspiciously.
"Yeah," Aiden told him. "Yeah, great."
"Yeah," Amara agreed. "Uh, we were just gonna head out."
"Oh, hold up," Alan told us. "You guys saved my life. Anything you want, it's yours."
"We could never," Sam told him. "We're--we're just happy we could help."
