I was out of breath making may way to the studio.
I have to see her before the others arrive.
I saw her on top of a ladder. Fixing the backdrop for our shoot.
*She's gonna fall...*
"Noona!" I called out for her.
She jumped a little in surprise. Her ladder wobble a bit. She lost her balance.
I ran as fast as I could to her.
I caught her just in time!
I covered her body with mine as I used my arm to pillow her head.
I hit my head on the floor with a sickening thud.
I groaned.
"Noona 괜찮아? - (gwaen cha na? - Are you okay?)" I asked her. I felt her nod in my chest. She was breathing heavily.
She tried to sit up. I held her still.
"Are you ok?" She asked me.
I faced her and nod. Her eyes widen and she suddenly grabbed my face.
"어떡해? - (oe tteok hae - what do we do?)" She gingerly touched my forehead and I winced in pain.
I gently touched the forming bump and hissed.
It's big.
I suddenly felt a wave of dizziness washed over me.
"Yah! Are you ok?" I nod at her and tried to stand up but my legs gave in.
She caught me in her arms.
"Are you ok?" I asked her and touched her face. She was crying.
"Yah.. You're the one that's hurt not me."
"I'm ok. Really... as long as you're safe."
She cried harder. My heart cleanched as I watched her. I grabbed her to me and held her to my chest.
"Noona.. you're such a crybaby..."
"I can't help it. You got hurt because of me again."
"How many times do I have to tell you... It's ok.. as long as you're ok."
"Why?"
I laughed.
"You can't be this dense right?" I took a deep breath.
"I will always be here for you. I will always take care of you. Protect you."
"Why?"
"Because..." I can't say it. I'm afraid to scare her away. I can't lose her.
"Why Jaehyun..?"
I took a deep breath.
"사랑해- ( sa rang hae - I love you.)"
She pushed herself off me a little. She looked at ne in the eyes.
"I... don't know.." she sighed. "I'm older than you."
"I don't care."
"I'm not a star or some rich girl."
"It's ok."
"I'm over my head with my school loans and everything. My family is always chaotic."
"I know Noona..."
"I'm clumsy. A bit slow at times. Terrible fashion sense too! I can be a nagger and my jealousy is at it's best."
I laughed out loud.
"Noona.. I love you. No matter who you are or where you came from. I will always love you."
She stared at me.
"Yes you're clumsy. You always slow at littlest things. You're fashion sense is old school. But I don't really care. It's who you are. It's what drew me to you. It's waht I love about you. Do you understand?"
"Being with me is not gonna be easy. You know that."
"I should be the one saying that to you. I promise you this.. no matter what happen. I will always be by your side."
I pulled her close to me and hold on to her tight.
"You're not gonna regret loving me..." I whispered to her. She took a deep breath and wrapped her arms around me.
"I think I'm about to..." she teased.
I laughed and kissed her head.
