Valerie buckled her seatbelt as she sat down in the passenger's seat of Sam's old pick-up truck. Sam hopped into the driver's seat and put his hands on the wheel with a sigh.
"I still can't believe I'm doing this for you." he breathed, looking worried.
"It means a lot." said Valerie. "Please Sam." she practically begged him. Sam sighed and put his key in the ignition. Valerie had already told him everything that had happened today, and he unconvincingly told her that it was her imagination.
"It's a really long drive," Sam started, trying to talk her out of it. "I mean, they're kinda isolated." Valerie nodded but made a circular motion with her hands to tell him to keep driving. Sam reluctantly stepped on the gas and drove out of his driveway.
Sam was right, the drive there was pretty long, and seemed to drag on and on with every red light they got. Valerie broke the silence that filled the truck.
"So have you ever been to their house before?" she asked him curiously. Sam nodded.
"Only once with my dad. Him and their foster dad had some business to discuss or something." explained Sam. Valerie nodded. "But I wasn't allowed inside." he added, with a slight smirk. Valerie raised an eyebrow.
"Why not?" she asked, with a slight chuckle.
"Lots of reasons. One being that me and the boys don't exactly.... get on." Valerie giggled a little. "What?" asked Sam.
"Oh nothing, just that it didn't seem like you liked them very much."
"Well you are right about that... Weirdos." he said under his breath.
After a while of traffic signs and honking cars, Sam took a sharp turn, heading towards what seemed to be a dense forest. "They live around here." explained Sam when he saw Valerie's confused look.
"I've never seen a forest in London." stated Valerie, looking out the window at all the trees.
"That's exactly why they live here. They like to be isolated."
The drive through the forest was pretty terrifying for Valerie. Every time there was a little movement in the trees shewould squeal a little, and Sam would have to assure her it was nothing. "Val, for the last time, there's nothing here." Valerie nodded, quivering a little.
"Yeah... It's just that I've seen some freaky things today- I'm just a little spazzed out." she said with a weak laugh. Sam cocked his head to the right and made another sharp turn, causing Valerie to scream.
"Val! It's okay..." he said soothingly, with a slight chuckle. Valerie nodded as they made their way deeper into the forest.
"So who takes care of them?" asked Valerie timidly.
"Their foster dad, Mr. Cowell." answered Sam.
The truck skidded to a stop and they neared the house. Big and elegant, there was Harry Styles house. Valerie gasped. You couldn't exactly call it a house, more like a mansion, or a palace. Valerie gazed in awe at the huge house as she slowly opened her car door. Sam opened his door, and jumped out. "Val, I can't come inside with you. They wont let me." he warned her. Valerie nodded weakly, still admiring the house. The two arrived at the front door and stood awkwardly in front of it.
