All the eyes in the room, darted to Valerie's bleeding finger. Valerie was confused for a moment, but quickly caught on and did the first thing that came to her mind. She sucked her finger and took the blood off. Not a good idea. The smell was already filling their nostrils with temptation, and Valerie sucking it off didn't release the tension. She looked at Harry through the corner of her eye...he wasn't looking thirsty, he was looking scared. The first person to move was Zayn, who lunged forward. Simon grasped his shoulders to hold him back.

"No, Zayn, stop! Control yourself!" yelled Zoya, who was holding back his hands. He was a lot stronger than her, and quickly released himself from her grip.

"Valerie, go!" shouted Simon, quickly losing his grip on Zayn. Harry looked terrified, but grabbed Valerie's wrist and dragged her out of the room. Niall and Liam now had a thirsty look in their eyes, and started making their way towards Valerie. Harry held her hand, leading her out of their house. Danielle looked more worried than ever, backing against the wall, shutting her eyes tightly. Mr. Cowell remained calm, mosly, just trying to make Zayn settle down. Harry tried to keep his eyes off of Valerie's paper-cut as much as possible. He swung open the front door and pushed her out, quickly following behind her. He took her hand and they both hopped into Harry's Audi. Once the door was locked, and they were secure, it was safe for Harry's to let go of Valerie's hand.

"I'm so sorry, I knew it was a bad idea to bring you here." he said apollegetically. Valerie shook her head.

"It's fine Harry. It wasn't your fault." Harry bit his lip.

"I'm gonna make up for this. I promise, Val." he assured her.

"Harry, really you don't have to. I didn't get hurt."

"But you could have!" he snapped. Valerie was a little taken aback, but she persisted.

"Harry- " she began, but Harry was fuming.

"No, Val. I'm taking you home. It's not safe here." and with that, he stepped on the gas, quickly making his way through the dense forest. They didn't talk during the whole ride. Harry kept his eyes pinned onto the road, not making any eye contact with Valerie.

His eyes would occasionally flicker to Valerie's finger, which was no longer bleeding, but was still cut, and then quickly dart back to the road. He pulled into her driveway, letting out a sigh as he let go of the wheel. He turned to Valerie, looking into her dark brown eyes.

"Valerie, I'm really sorry for snapping at you like that." Valerie shook her head, signaling that it was okay. "And I'm going to make up for tonight." he assured her.

"Harry you don't have to." he reached out, and held her hand in his. He locked eyes with her.

"But I do." he said sincerely. And with that he let go of her hand, and exited the car. His last words were ringing through Valerie's head. 'But I do'. What did that mean?

Harry made his way around the car, and opened her door for her. He held her hand and escorted her out, being the gentlemen that he was. He flicked his curls out of his eyes, and walked her to the front door.
