*Olivia's POV*
My dress drenched wet. I decided that it was a good time to get into the flowing water.
On the way home, I can't stop calling myself for being stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
Jack has offered me his shirt just to covered up my top body and didn't get cold. But I stubbornly declined. Now maybe I regretted the decision.
Jack, too, walking me back to my house.
"Do you want to coming in?" I politely ask, pointing at the house behind us by turning my body to look at the house.
"No, it's fine. I'm just going to go back. You should really get in before you get cold." He said in concern.
"Okay, good night." I said a bit shyly, waving my hand. I retreat, walking back slowly and turned my body. I take my first step heavily. It felt hard for me to walk away now. I feel the need for more, but I couldn't pinpoint to what. I just need more.
"Oli." I stopped dead in my track. Sighing and bitting my bottom lip, turning slowly to face him.
"Yes?" I didn't complain when he calls me 'Oli', I have noticed. But I didn't correct him, instead I let him. I let him call me whatever he wants, I'll accept it.
"I'll call you tonight." He make a call sign with his right hand, bring it to his ear like he is calling.
I nod my head, couldn't say anything. I'm happy, I'm just happy.
This time, he waved before leaving. I begin to walk again to my front step.
The door is locked as always, but I have my keys with me. But then I realized, I left my bag in the store. How could I forgot the important thing for me?
In the bag there is so much important things like my purse, phone, keys and cards.
Sighing heavily for my stupidity, I walk to the side of the house. Rounding the house as I walk to the back of the house. The only door that is opened is the back door. My father will always at the back, watching the plant growing with his bare eyes like he's crazy.
I look through the window overlook inside of the house as I keep walking further back until I see the border of our back land.
Just like I have guessed, my father is sitting on the picnic table with his laptop in front of him. Glasses clamp between his nose.
From where I stand, I wave my hand to get his attention. Waving until his eyes finally move from his laptop to me. He give me a confuse look. But I give him my cheeky smile.
I walk through the border, slipped myself in between.
"What are you doing there, Sweetheart?" My father straighten his body posture as he saw me coming to him.
"I forgot my bag at the store, Father. So I don't have a key with me. I have my other way in though." I said, sitting down on the bench in front of him. Knowing what the other way was.
"What are you working on?" I ask, getting curious with what he is working on. He won't open up his laptop for nothing, except for work. And once he worked, I always got something to ask. We loved to share everything related with work, we kind of have the same job. Not a job, but more like a work.
"I've got an email. I hope this is a good news. I have sent them like two months ago." He said, looking at me and down to my body. Ah, how could I forget?
"I'm going to change, Dad. Yes, thank you so much." I quickly get up from the bench and walk to the back door. The opened door, which go directly to our kitchen.
The house is empty and it felt silence but not dead. The kitchen is clean as I left it. Jogged to the stairs which lead me to my room, my only room. The second floor is only have one space and is that my room. The stairs meet a dead path and just a door, my door room.
I can say my room is big, yes. I don't custom my own room, I have this room since I was a kid. I have everything that I need and I'm thankful.

"Thank God for the blessing today you gave us, to keep us together, family and friends."
I keep my eyes closed for a moment before open them back. I am facing my mother who's sitting in front of me. Dad is sitting beside her and Thomas in front of him which is basically beside me.
I have no idea that Thomas will coming. Mom invited him to have dinner with us. It was her idea.
"Let's eat." My father said, taking the first meal. We followed after him and enjoying our dinner.
Dinner was delightful. None of us talk, we just ate. That's how my family are and Thomas knew about that. He keep up with us throughout the whole dinner.
"Thomas, do you want some pie?" Mother asked.
"Sure, Mrs. Winterbourne." Thomas smile at my mother. Which she return them, before getting up from her chair. That leaves the three of us. But Thomas, engage in a conversation with father.
I feel left out here, on the dining table. So I just get up from my seat and start gather the plates on the table. Clearing the table for dessert. I don't feel good to let my mother do all the courses by herself.
I walk to the kitchen and see that my mom putting a pie to the dessert plate, while I put the dirty dish on the sink. I walk back and forth from the dining table to the kitchen. I will just let it aside and wash them later after our guest is gone.
"How's your work in London?" Father ask as I make my way to the dining table. I take a seat on my original seat.
Once I sit down, I put my attention to Thomas. The three of us is giving our full attention to him. It's just how we appreciate things. Beside that, I am curious too about his life after.
"Work is stressing, but it's always good. I love reviewing yours, really great. My team hope to hear from you soon." Thomas said, looking back and forth to Dad and I.
"Come to the office some time. We would gladly welcomed you guys in the office." Again, he says.
That was something they surely need to think of carefully. Never once they talk and have an idea about going anywhere.
"We'll see about that, Thomas." Dad said. The topic alone didn't really sitted well with my father. He avoid at any cost about people asking him questions. He don't hate it, but he rather not talk about it.
The conversation held so long. We didn't notice the time. The talk just going and we lost in the conversation. Never once my mind crossed about Jack. The thought came when I was in my room, sitting down on the bed and my phone flashing out his name.

Forgetting about Jack already, huh?
