"Look into my eyes and tell me, honestly if I would lie to you" I say to Kaylee
"I trust you Noah" she says.
"So you'll-" I begin
"But I don't trust myself. If I get up on that stage I'll be feeling great but as soon as I see the crowd I can never actually perform" she says
"Kaylee. I've known you for most of my life and you are such an amazing singer. Pretend that you're just performing for me" I tell her
"Okay. I'll try" she smiles
End of flashback
I lie in bed, trying to figure out where I went wrong last night. I love Kaylee and I'm sure she loves me so I've got no idea what went wrong. In the end I just decide to call her.
"Hello?" She says
"Hey Kaylee, um it's me"
"Oh hey Noah" I can't tell if she sounds pleased or nervous or both
"Look Kaylee, I'm really sorry about last night. I just hope we can still be friends"
"Noah. You're a great guy and I really like you but I'm just not ready yet"
"Oh. So, are we still dating then?" "Of course!" She sounds surprised.
"Well bye then"
"Bye" she says and hangs up
