I sat at my desk, a pencil held shakily in my hand as I stared down at the meaningless work. I knew what it meant but it was that knowledge that brought about issues for me, not knowing if I should be smart or borderline failing to be at the peak of popularity. That wasn't important anyways, though, since I was too busy thinking about the events from the past few days to write anything. I was too frustrated over the sudden shift that even I didn't understand within the school's turning tides. What in Ra's name had made them so beloved? So suddenly popular? Why was all of this happening, when just weeks ago they were the most teased and bullied kids in the grade? Why did that suddenly change?
''Agh!'' I shouted in rage, snapping my pencil in half. Just great.
I took out my phone, frantically dialing a number before setting it down on the desk. The light from the device illuminated the once dark, lonely room as it rang.
Suddenly, a voice echoed through the speaker. I picked up the phone, spinning around in my chair as I listened.
''Hello?''
I set down the broken pencil, looking around for the box on my desk that had been buried in late math assignments. ''Bakura, I need to talk to you.''
''Well, if it isn't Marik Ishtar. I'm busy right now.''
I groaned, grabbing a new pencil and tapping at the crease of my mouth.
''It's important.''
I sighed, awaiting a response. Bakura mumbles something indistinctly before I hear him set his things down and speak.
''Fine, alright. What is it?''
''Hmph..''
''Well?''
I lean back against the smooth, black leather of my chair, kicking my feet up before twirling the pencil in my hand and sighing.
''It's about Yami.''
''Marik, for Ra's sake, I don't have time-''
''Just hear me out, Bakura. I have a plan to put him in his place.''
The teen paused, huffing in doubt before he hummed his words in a curious pleasure. ''Go on..?''
I smirked mischievously, turning back to my polished wooden desk and sliding a notebook in front of me. I let my pencil hover over the paper as I purred into the phone.
''It involves two things - temptation, and Téa.''

I looked up, my phone's bright screen inches above me as I lay on my bed texting. My thumbs moved swiftly, typing as fast as they could as I smiled cheerfully at the texts. Ra, I couldn't shake the feeling even the sight of his name gave me, or even just seeing the little dots appear continuously as he typed. Another text came in, and I was overjoyed to read it.
>So, are you going to that party?
I looked over from my phone and picked up the paper from the nightstand beside me. It was one of the many flyers secretly passed out throughout the day about a bash somewhere downtown. It didn't have a name or a phone number to contact, just a home address and ideas of things to bring along. Of course, most of the ideas were simple codes for things such as alcohol, but whoever created it had wanted it to look professional to avoid parents and faculty calling the cops. Honestly, it was pretty clever.
