Violet wakes up with her eyes opening slowly. The bright white walls flash so bright that Violet has to look away at a table on the left side of her.  Violet looks down at her chest and realizes that she is in a hospital with  bright white and blue sheets covering her. She feels a sharp pain in her head and looks at Eric who is sitting in a chair with his head looking down at the ground and his hands covering his face.

He looks upset.

Violet looks at the mirror on the hospital walls across from her and realizes her short brown hair. The only time she had this hair style was when she was pregnant with Lilly.

"How am I here? This was years ago... It doesn't make sense." Violet says in her mind. "Is this another Daydream? No, it can't be... this feels real... I can think, and move, and talk... Where am I?" Violet quietly calls Eric's name.

"Eric?"

Eric looks over at Violet in sadness.

"I'm so happy you're okay. Doctor. Austin said there might have been a chance you wouldn't make it.. I was with you the whole time. I was holding your hand. Even when you pasted out, I was still here." Violet's face gets red. Her face feels hot as cold tears run down her cheeks. Violet forgot what happened when she was in the hospital giving birth to Lilly.

She forgot about her dad... She forgot all the horrors and tears that went on that night. And how she just wanted to cry out for help and tell Eric what was wrong. And to tell Eric what her father was like before Violet lied and said that he was like any other father. And that he cared for her. And that he was super protective.

However, that wasn't the case. He didn't care about her. Violet's father didn't see her as his daughter, but as a burden. He was very abusive after Violet's mother passed away. To Violet, He didn't feel like a father. He felt like a bully, or harasser. Whenever Violet tried to run away or escape, he would always find her and take his anger out on her worse as the days got.

She had no freedom.
