One Of A Kind
Chapter Two

~ Sage Preston's POV ~
"I can't believe you spent 7 dollars on that" Charlie groaned as I sipped my chocolate milkshake.
"Laziness comes at a price, sugar" I grinned as I focused on the game.
"Wellington girls school is always tough to beat" Charlie commented as the other team scored.
My eyes drifted to the other side of the rink, where three boys stood out of place. It was so obvious that they were from Westview. They were isolated and stood close to the glass. They weren't even watching the game. It's like they came just to annoy Eastview high. What were they up to?
Tommy and Vincent were in a heated discussion. Tommy's choppy black hair fell in front of his grey eyes as his head shook with annoyance at his brother. Vincent looked almost the same but his hair was shorter and his eyes were brown. I wonder what they were arguing about.
Benjamin stood in the middle of the boys. He looked like he wasn't paying attention. His brown curls were popping out from his maroon beanie and his hands were in the pockets of his Westview senior pull-over. His head snapped up when Tommy pushed Vincent. His mouth made an 'o' shape at something one of the boys said and then they all started laughing.
"Did you see that?" Charlie smacked my arm and I jumped.
"No-No. What happened?" I focused back on the game but I was lost. We were up 3 points and everyone was cheering.
"Piper hit the other goalie with the puck" Charlie laughed.
"That girl always has my back" I grinned.
"How did you not see that?" Charlie raised one of his red eyebrows and I rolled my eyes. "Was it because of a certain childhood crush standing opposite of us?"
"I was daydreaming" I snorted but I let my eyes find the boys again. This time Benjamin was already staring at me.
When our eyes locked, his lips quirked up but mine quirked down. This was so not going to happen.
"What's up guys" Our friend, Mick, appeared by our side.
"Why are you late?" Charlie questioned.
"Family dinner" Mick's thick Irish accent was laced with his usual 'you should know this' attitude.
Piper, Charlie, May and I have always been really close and when Mick transferred here our Sophomore year, he fit right into our group.
Charlie, Piper, Mick and I are all on the Eastview hockey teams. Piper and I met when we both joined the community center hockey team when were in middle school. She's really cool and you don't want to mess with anyone she cares about. She's 5'6, a little chubby and has short bleach blonde hair with the sides shaved. Our personalities are very similar. Like we both look different. We both don't dress girly and love hockey. But she is the type of person who likes to wear name brand clothes and have the latest sneakers and crap like that, while I throw on sweats, vans and an Eastview hoodie almost everyday of my life.
Charlie is a sophomore, while we are seniors. We've known him since we were kids though. Our Mom's were cheerleaders together and used to teach cheerleading classes at the community center. He is a spitting image of his mother. Fiery red hair and blue eyes. People used to tease him in elementary school for it but lately alot of girls have been taking an interest in the boy. Probably because the show Riverdale has gotten popular and people are sporting similarities between him and Archie.
