Varian closed the book, hearing a quick knocking on the principal door, followed by a familiar voice.-Varian, are you there? It's me, Rapunzel...-
"At least she comes to visit and maybe help with moving the village to somewhere else."
The blue eyed boy walked out of his laboratory and went to answer the door.-Rapunzel? What are you doing here?- Confusion and disbelief was seeing completely in his face.
-I heard about Old Corona and went to help... I'm so sorry about the snowstorm. I was so busy trying to protect Corona people...-
-It's okay, you're here now helping and that's all that matters.- She smiled at hearing her friend irradiating with glee
-So, anything new about the black rocks?-
-Sadly, yes. Come with me.- He signaled her to walk in and closed the door behind her.
-I've been dealing with this strange thing that happened some days after the snowstorm... I really feel guilty but I couldn't do anything to reverse it.- He rubbed hid eyelids and sighed, walking straight to his lab.
Just then, Varian pulled off a big and tall blanket off of something with strange shape. There, Rapunzel watched in horror as a girl was trapped inside an orange amber, looking straight at her face as she looked in pain and noticed tears coming out of her eyes, frozen along with her.
-My G-God, Varian! What happened?- She covered her mouth, surprised and shocked.
-I-I done something I shouldn't have and... She saved me. Both of us know how unbreakable the black rocks are.- He sighed and shook his head, disappointed of himself.
-I think I have seen her face but I don't remember where...- Rapunzel thought for some minutes but sighed and watched Varian grab a brown satchel. There, he took out three books and two devices, one circular and the other one looked like it was meant to be put in someone's wrist.
-She gave me these and told me this one -he pointed at the circular device- was called Memory Keeper. And this one -he then pointed to the wrist device- was the Vortex Manipulator.-
-So, basically you're saying that maybe she uh... messed with time? And the other one, let me guess, store memories from other people?- Rapunzel took the object, inspecting it carefully and giving it back to Varian
-Exactly! I still don't understand how she could have obtained this or who might have created this...- He trailed off and grabbed the first book he was reading, one with a dark blue color and golden decorations.
-And look at these entries! She writes it as if she was aware that she was gonna be encased in that thing and... I don't know her.- Varian showed Rapunzel the strange few pages he already read.
Rapunzel went quiet, reading each word written in the book, aghast showing off in her face.
-Rapunzel, I'm completely scared. That girl called (Y/n) is full of mysteries... And sadly, I was involved in it since I almost encased myself or even my father inside that thing!-
-Here, in this paragraph you read "Your father is fine and you're you, apparently." See? That means my father was meant to be encased. So, how do you know about this? Only if you see with your eyes and clearly I remember doing my experiment once and not twice.- He pointed at the paragraph and looked at the blonde princess, worried too.
-Varian, I will ask you to stop reading these books. I really don't like where this whole mess is going...- The blonde princess looked filled with sadness but also fear that she might end up losing her friend due to this unknown mystery.
-I will try, Rapunzel but ignoring this mystery isn't the correct way to discover what's behind it.- He closed the book once again and left it on a near table, grabbing Rudiger and leading the way back to his kitchen, looking at his raccoon friend.
-I think we need to distract ourselves from this. Once I finish with helping Old Corona to move, I will try to ask who this "(Y/n)" is around Corona and when I can, I'll come back. Is that okay?- Varian nodded and followed Rapunzel until they were near the entrance of hid house.
Both waved a little goodbye and Varian saw Rapunzel helping some neighbors near his house, the black haired boy walking in again to cover the horrible scene of (Y/n) trapped inside the orange amber...
In the afternoon, Quirin had finally helped all of Old Corona to move towards some lands near Corona. He walked into his house and called for his son, receiving a quick answer.
-I'm here, dad. Are the others leaving finally?- Quirin nodded and Varian knew he had to pack his experiments, chemicals and the brown bag (Y/n) gave him. He still wondered whether he should keep reading or not to find out the reason behind this whole strange mystery.
-Dad, I made a new chemical that can make plants grow! I tested it yesterday and saw how a strawberry just went from nothing to-
-Varian, I'm sure we can talk about this later. For now, I want to go out of here as soon as possible, the village needs a new place and it's up to me to lead them. After we arrive to our new home, I promise I'll listen to everything, alright?- Varian smiled and nodded quickly, running into his room and finding a big satchel enough to fit his clothes there and then picked up another one where he could fit his experiments and test tubes. He fit in each and every belonging and closed both bags, carrying them and leaving both near the entrance.
-I'm going to get the bag (Y/n) gave me, I'll be back quickly!- His father nodded and he quickly approached his lab, grabbing the devices and leaving them inside the brown bag.
-Let's go, Rudiger...- The little raccoon crawled up and laid on Varian's shoulder while he was petting him, making Rudiger chitter happily.
-Are you ready, Varian?- Quirin was holding his bags and waiting at the principal door, eargerly.
-Yes, dad! Can Rudiger come too, right?- Quirin looked at the racoon and sighed, nodding.
Varian grabbed the three bags and walked out of his home, walking alongside his dad as he looked back, worried.
"I'm not leaving you behind, (Y/n). I'm going to find out why you did this for me... I promise." He thought while walking as both soon catched up to the villagers.
Some of them were carrying heavy bags, some of them were transporting the few food that lasted because of the snowstorm freezing the rest. Even though, Varian knew his father indeed was gonna be proud about his newest invention and he had to, right?
The food that villagers were transporting wasn't enough for everyone and Varian decided to end the problem, maybe being ahead of his father, by doing it with the miracle of the Alchemy. The blue eyed boy was taken out of his thoughts as he heard some villagers thanking Rapunzel for helping them to organize the whole move. The blonde princess then waved a goodbye and walked ahead, taking the direct road to Corona and the villagers taking the road to a place near Corona.
-Is the new place still far?- Varian looked at his father, worried that they would reach the place at noon.
-Not so far, we should be there in half an hour or so...- He answered, smiling softly at his son.
-Oh, okay.- Varian smiled and nodded, feeling a mixture of happiness but guilt because of him leaving behind the poor (e/c) colored girl. Although he didn't left her belongings, he still felt somehow sad.
"I can't get it all into my head... Something about the whole time manipulation thing smells fishy." He thought, still walking next to his father while thinking, ignoring the raccoon's noise for attention.
