It was a Tuesday as Laurel stood in front of the mirror in the Dance Department girls locker room. Girls rarely entered the locker rooms early so Laurel made sure she was on time.

Facing to her right she began to look at her side profile, her body consisting of soft dark pigmented skin on a small petite figure.

Although, Laurel admits she's getting closer to her ultimate goal weight she still sees imperfections. "Why does my butt have to stick out so much." she whispered to herself as she rises onto her very tip toes to get a better view.

Laurel notes that she has lost 10 pounds from her average of 130 and hopes she will reach her ultimate before auditions.

She began to hear noise as a group of girls crowded in the locker rooms from her class. All the girls have been in the university as friends for a while, all Korean, and never tried to speak to Laurel. At first she thought it was because of a language barrier, but she knew Korean to an extent so she accepted her inferiority complex.

Laurel picked up her dance bag and began walking to the studio there were very few people there, so far just two boys.

The taller one was stretching on the bar leaning over to touch his toes and stretch his hamstrings. The shorter one was turning in center, he was extremely focused you could tell contemporary was his strongest genre.

"Alright everyone my names Professor Hyun-Jae and we'll begin with First Devont onto Developpe."

All the girls crowded in as the professor began the music. Laurel stood in her position in front as the stretch began. Once class was over Laurel was pulled aside.

"Excuse me Laurel. " Professor Hyun-Jae motioned her over.

"Yes Professor." Laurel spoke.

"You did very well today, have you considered auditioning for solos."

A smile took over Laurel's face as she nodded yes "Yes Professor Hyun I have." she confirmed.

"Well I look forward to your audition in two weeks."

"Thank you." Laurel bowed turning to see her fellow classmates with scowls and giggling among themselves.

"Hah what does this foreigner think she's up to, coming to our territory and auditioning for our show?" A thin girl spoke laughing with her friends. Laurel looked down trying to avoid the drama until a male voice spoke in her behalf.

"Aish jealousy again Ji-Su just admit you must work harder and one day you'll get there too." The male was the same one in the beginning of class, a bit taller than Laurel, he had plump lips and a very fit figure.

"Ugh Jimin I like you better when your quiet." she stormed off and her posse followed.

"Haha she's so dramatic." another male spoke taller than Jimin he had a bubbly personality and was very funny.

"Thank you for defending me i'm Laurel." She said timidly going in to bow until his hand extended to her.

"No problem, i'm Park Jimin and this here is my Hyung, Hoseok." the older smiled also extending a hand.

"So you're auditioning for solos?" Jimin asked inquisitively.

"Yes I'm very excited are you?" Laurel spoke.

"Yes of course but I need a partner would you like to be mine?" Jimin questioned

"I would love to." Laurel smiled.

Okay enough flirting Jimin we're gonna be late for hip hop kookie is waiting." Hoseok spoke up as Jimin waved Laurel bye and she did the same.

Making her way to the university cafeteria she searched the overcrowded place for the handsome man she saw yesterday. Seokjin sat in the same spot as before but instead of school lunch he brought his own.

"Hello Jin." Laurel spoke so softly it was music to his ears.

"Laurel! Hi." He spoke excitedly a grin spread across his face.

Truth is Seokjin didn't think Laurel would show up to lunch with him again, he was smiling through his soul right now. Laurel sat down in front of Seokjin as he rumbled through a paper bag.

Jin smiled, "I made you a sandwich." He noticed how she didn't have much to eat the other day and figured it's because the university's food wasn't up to par. The look on Laurels face is all too fearful as she thought of the many excuses she's had before.

"I just ate,"she responded looking at the older male retract the sandwich with a slight frown upon his face. Seokjin didn't quite understand, it was noon and she had finished enough to hold her over for the rest of the day?

"But thank you." Laurel added she was truly thankful for his sweet gestures and she would've taken the offer and ate it too, but she was so close to her goal weight she couldn't risk it.

Seokjin smiled, he thought Laurel was cute, her dark brown skin was glowing today and her curly brown hair was met by her shoulders.

"So how was your day today?" Seokjin asked slightly still in a trance.

"Good actually."" Laurel started she rumbled on about her dance auditions , praises from her professor, and hard Physics classes that Jin said he wouldn't mind tutoring her on.

"How was yours?" she questioned as Seokjin thought wisely.

"I got an A in acting so far, my professor told me I should work on my debut."

That's so cool." Laurel smiled until Seokjin spoke up

"Laurel I would like it if you came to my home today my roommates and I are hanging out and I want you to meet my closest friends." Seokjin was nervous to ask her, was this way to soon?

"I would love to." originally Laurel was unsure but she thought it through and realized she deserved some free time, plus Seokjin was a really nice guy.

"Oh this is great!." Jin grabbed both of her hands trying to contain his excitement. "I'll pick you up at seven okay?" he smiled as Laurel nodded.
