HEEYOUNG

A heavy sigh escaped from my lips as I made my way inside SM Entertainment's building. Everything looks so expensive here. I wonder where the artists are. Do they stay here always?

"Annyeonghaseyo, Heeyoung-ssi?" A lady in black corporate attire approached me with a warm smile.

"Ne? Annyeonghaseyo." I answered as I slightly bowed my head.

"I'm Chanmi. I'm EXO's assistant manager. Shall we head upstairs?" She said, showing me the way to the elevator

I nodded, "Ah, ne."

She pressed the 5th floor and the elevator slowly moved. My heart was beating loudly because of the anticipation. I wish the boys will be kind to me.

"Today, you will have a short meeting with the Manager, then you'll meet the boys. I will orient you the basics, and the member that'll be assigned to you will tell you the rest. Arasseo?" She talked fast as lightning that I barely understood what she said.

I guess people here really work fast.

When the elevator opened, we were greeted by the quiet hallway and a huge wooden door where I think the managers are staying. This time, my hands began to tremble as I slowly stepped inside the room.

"Omo, is that her?" A voice said.

Even if I couldn't see her, I knew she was a manager or some sort. Her tone is business-like and laced with formality. As I turned my gaze towards the voice, a lady - a remarkably pretty one - greeted me with a warm smile plastered on her angelic face.

"Heeyoung-ssi?" she asked.

I bowed slightly and smiled, "Ne, annyeonghaseyo."

"Skip the formalities, Heeyoung-ah. I'm Jiwon, Junmyeon's assistant. We'll be working together, so I suggest we treat each other like sisters." She happily said before motioning me to sit in the couch.

"Ah, ne. Kamsahabnida, sunbaenim." I said, still a bit shy.

"Omo? Kim Heeyoung-ssi?" An unfamiliar voice echoed across the room.

My eyes searched for the voice and I saw a middle-aged man with his chinky eyes staring directly at me, etched with awe. He blinked profusely before walking towards me in a very unsteady motion.

"Daebak! Sehun-ah has good taste! She doesn't look like an assistant at all!" He said in glee, happiness evident in his loud voice.

"Nado ara. She's very pretty!" Jiwon agreed.

I felt my cheeks growing warm so I bowed and thanked him for the compliments. He was still smiling as he sat down in the couch in front of me. He reached out for a folder and gave it to me, his eyes still gleaming in amusement.

"Aigoo, she looks like an idol?" He complimented again and I just smiled.

"Sehun was right when he said you're remarkable, Heeyoung-ah."

Hearing my childhood friend's name made me smile genuinely. I missed Sehun a lot. I haven't seen him personally since I left. He wasn't a trainee back then, and I just heard about his growing fame through the internet.

"Are you excited?" Jiwon asked with a meaningful look.

I chuckled, "Ne. I look forward to meeting the boys."

As if on cue, their smile died down like I hit a soft spot. Jiwon shifted on her seat before faking a cough. She eyed the guy in front and the guy started to breath in a ragged way.
