HEEYOUNG

Entering SM Entertainment building never felt this surreal. It has roughly been a month since my eyes first wandered around its interior, and now I'm looking at it for the last time. I inhaled deep before pushing the glass door.

Familiar faces greeted me, and my heart felt light that everyone inside were happily doing their job, faint smiles on their lips as they continue on their tasks. I always imagined the employees of this agency to be busy and stressed, but I realized at rare days like this that taking a job in this entertainment agency is both a blessing and a curse.

Sure, employees are always busy because SM is literally blessed with the best artists of the industry. It's great to know that despite their hectic schedules, they still have time to breath and smile at little things.

When I was near the elevator, I saw it closing already so I ran fast and inserted my hand between the two closing doors, preventing it to shut. I saw Do Kyungsoo, his already wide eyes widened more as he stared at my hand between the doors. I let out a chuckle and entered the elevator.

"Good morning," I happily greeted him, making sure to turn my body towards him.

I saw how uncomfortable he looked and smiled at me, "G-Good morning."

I was tapping my shoes on the floor to a random beat on my head when Kyungsoo suddenly turned to me and eyed me with seriousness.

"Yes?" I asked, smiling widely.

"You look unusually cheerful." He pointed out. "Something's not right."

I clicked my tongue, "The only wrong thing this morning is your grumpy face." I reached for his cheeks and lightly pinched it. "Loosen up, you look really handsome when you smile. Jinjja."

He slapped my hand, "Oho, how dare you touch my face with your hands?"

I laughed at his uptight response. He stared at me like I was crazy, and he really looked doubtful of my attitude for the day. When the elevator stopped at a familiar floor, he stepped out. I remained on the elevator.

He stopped the doors from closing, "Why are you not going out?"

I giggled lightly, "I have business on the top floor."

His brows furrowed, "Top floor? That's the President's floor."

"Uh huh," I nodded with a smile on my lips.

He looked down on the white folder I had in my hand and he said, "Is that–? Are you–? You're not going to–?"

I hushed him, "Shh, hands off the door or you'll get yourself injured."

He was frozen on his spot, his mouth slightly opened. I gently removed his hand from the elevator door and smiled at him cheekily.

"Have a great day, Kyungsoo-ssi."

The elevator door closed and now I'm on my way to the top floor. I have made up my mind during my stay on the hospital.
