HEEYOUNG

I was wearing my Nike sweatpants along with a plain grey hoodie and sneakers as I entered the building. My shaky hands went to fix my glasses that were slipping because of my sweat. I combed my hair using my fingers as I hastily walked towards the elevator.

I saw my reflection from the elevator doors and mumbled, "You look like shit."

Suddenly, a voice from behind responded, "Shit is a pretty strong word. Try ragged."

I turned to see who it was and I was startled to meet the plain and emotionless eyes of Do Kyungsoo. He's in his usual plain black shirt, a black cap, and denim jeans, wearing a black sneakers. He looked at me, with eyebrows raised.

I scrambled for words, "Well, uh." I stared at my reflection again. "I was kinda busy so I was rushing here and there."

He sighed, "I see."

Why is the elevator not opening?! I feel really awkward and shy beside him. He looks well-groomed and fresh, while I look like a radish straight out of the garbage bin. I was impatient and pressed the down button again but the elevator was still on the sixth floor. Go down quickly, you stupid elevator.

"Looks like you're in a hurry." He pointed out. "Chanyeol had to do everything by himself yesterday because you were gone without early notice."

I sighed. I know I was wrong for not informing him ahead of time, but the situation was an emergency and I can't waste time. In fact, I never even had a chance to fix myself before coming here.

The elevator doors open and we went inside. I can't believe that our floor is still on the fourteenth. I feel like the oxygen inside the elevator was too low for us two. It's suffocating and really really silent. He was just looking straight and he doesn't even make a single sound.

I was about to take out my phone to distract me when I heard his monotone voice, "How's your wrist?"

I blinked profusely and stared at him for a good two seconds before coming back to my senses and scrambled for words.

"Was that question too hard to answer, Heeyoung-ssi?" He added, still on monotone.

I mentally cursed at myself and said, "A-Ah, my wrist? It's fine, it's fine."

Now that he mentioned it, I can't help but remember the commotion the other day. No matter how much I think of it, I always cringe and feel ashamed for myself. What was I thinking?

"Don't sweat it." He sighed. "Chanyeol doesn't really hold grudges."

I mumbled, "I hope so."

The elevator doors opened and Kyungsoo went straight out without sparing me a glance. He walked straight towards the practice room, ignoring Jongdae's call. Jongdae, Minseok, and Lay are standing by the door of the dressing room, teasing and pushing each other.

"Ya~ it's Heeyoung-ssi!" Jongdae exclaimed with a large smile.

I bowed slightly and greeted them, "Annyeonghaseyo."

Lay smiled at me and Minseok eyed me with worry. "Are you alright? Why were you not here yesterday?"

I smiled, "Something happened at home."
