Chapter 8: Show Me you Love

(Ryan's p.o.v)

   I walk over to the side door and Brendon follows. I open it and let Brendon in quickly so the lion doesn't get out.

"They leave it unlocked?" Brendon asks. I nod.

"A lion can't open a door," I chuckle, he smiles at me. I look over at his perfect face and bite my lip. I quickly look away and continue down the hall. I open the door to a big place of stands, animal habitats, benches, and nature. Brendon gasps, "Wow."

  "You like?" I say, sighing. He grins and grabs my hand, running off to the bench. He pushes me onto the bench and sits on top of me. I make a 'umfp' sound and put my arms around his stomach.

"Come on, I'm not that heavy." Brendon chuckles. "I know your not," I say before I peck his neck. He's sitting on my lap and I'm hugging his stomach. I look up at the stars and moon, then glance at Brendon. The way he looks in the moonlight, is like a light to me. Everything during these minutes is what is keeping me alive.

   I didn't realize Brendon was staring back, "I know that look." He says. I give him a confused look, "It's the look I give you," He whispers. I grin and pull him into my lips.

  I felt a tear on my cheek and broke the kiss. My wandered to Brendon, and he was crying. "Bren, what's wrong?" I console him. "I don't want to leave, Ryan, I don't know what to do." He cries.

"There's nothing we can do, unless you can convince your parents to not move." I say, rubbing his back. "They have been packing all week." He says softly. My eyes saddened and I snuggle into his shoulder.

  "I love yo-" I said, then I heard sirens. "Brendon? What's going on?" I yell, scared. "Brendon?!" I shake him.

"We need to get out of here! Now!" He shouts. I'm still confused but I get up and run to the lion cage with him. He stops in front of the door and turns to look at me, "If we die, I love you Ryan," He says dramatically then he grabs my face and kissed me.

 "I love you too-" I began while we were running through the cold, grey hall. We were back in the lions cage and the lion was asleep. We went over the the ditch and crawled through. My pants getting really dirty and my arms are bruising up.

  "Ryan, you need to stay hidden," He stops. I look at him and shake my head, "Your crazy, were in this together." I say but he cups his hand onto my face, " You don't understand, my parents called the cops and they tracked my phone," He said shakily, "If they see you, your going to get arrested because they think you harassed me, I'm sorry, but you need to stay here until everything is clear." He says with a tear on his cheek.

  I shake my head in panic, "Please Ryan, do this for me, I love you." He says sincerely, and kisses my forehead. I sit there emotionless as I watch him crawl out of the ditch. I stayed, because I love him. He would want this.

(Brendon's p.o.v)

  I crawled out of the dark ditch, saying my last goodbye to Ryan. After this, I'm moving, and I'll never see him again. I walk around the front of the zoo and saw 5 police cars, even my parents car. I sigh and put my hands up. Their attention brought to me and the officers came running to me.

  I close my eyes waiting for the worst. A cop tightly grabs my arm and pulls me over to my mom, "Hey! Watch it!" I yell, as his grip tightens. He lets go as soon as we reach my angry mother and father.

  "Where the fuck were you?" My Dad says squeezing my shoulder. I whimper a little in pain and move away from his grasp, "You kicked me out, remember? So I came here." I said with venom.
