PART: 8

-The Next DAY-

My name was Hiro, I had what seemed to be a normal life, until I got to highschool. Flesh for currency became a regular occurance. I've been through kidnapping and physical abuse by a man who could buy anyone he wanted. I went through failed suicide and rape. I left, I left into the city, I made a promise one day I would leave and I would be better than what I was then and I did it. I finished high school and I married an amazing man, adopted a little girl and now I feel my world closing in like Retinitis pigmentosa, the edges get blurry and then all of a sudden, their gone. Funny thing is, they'll never know about the physical abuse I suffered as a child or what I tried to do so many times. Don't think about it Hiro, don't think about it Daiki.

Daiki: (He wakes up in pure panic like every morning and like every morning Hiroki turns over and holds him close until he brain can process where he is.)

Hiroki: It'll be okay, just breathe, don't think about anything but me and your breathing

Daiki: I'm okay now...

Hiroki: Good! (He smiles and hops out of the bed grabbing clothes out of a drawer. Daiki watched him get dressed regularly, so he got used to it.)

Daiki: (He got up and walk to the bathroom to get ready.)

(Once they were both ready they walked downstairs and Ayuko was already there. Hiroki said goodbye and started to leave... he paused, walked over to Daiki, and kissed him on the lips before walking out quickly and quietly shutting the door.)

Daiki: (gets up and starts to get ready after he's done he goes downstairs and starts making breakfast.)

Ayuko: good morning dad, feeling better?

Daiki: yes I'm fine eat up so I can get you to school

Ayuko: I'll pass I'm going to eat at school so I have a better chance to see sora

Daiki: (raises voice) you are NOT EATING AT SCHOOL YOU WILL EAT HERE NOW!

Ayuko: (sits down silently and starts eating the food)

Daiki: I'm sorry sweetie its it's just things are hard for papa ok...

Ayuko: yeah its whatever

Daiki: I'll be in the car...(gets up and leaves)

Ayuko: wait for me...(stuffs toast in her mouth)

Daiki: (ayuko hops in the car and they start driving to school)

Ayuko: you can just drop me off here I'll walk up to the school

Daiki: when did you grow up

Ayuko: I didn't but Sora's mom doesn't drop him off dad it's embarrassing I'll see you later (hope out the car)

Daiki: wait you... God she never listens I swear if I knew her back when I was younger she would have got slapped...

-----------drives to work--------------

Daiki: (grabs bag and hops out the car)

Hiro: good morning daiki how are you!!!

Daiki: I'm fine haha and you Ms. Hiro?

Hiro: (stops smiling for a bit but gains it back) good good never better! Ready to work!

Daiki: Haha, that's great. Yeah, I'm totally ready

Hiro: oh before we get into work mode our kids should have a playdate one day

Daiki: Oh... okay, I'll have to talk with my husband on that one
