We closed the front door after bringing in the last of the shopping. "This house is officially our home." Hunter said with  laugh, observing the dozen or so bags that flooded the entry way. I grabbed his hand and gave it a quick squeeze. "That it is."

We spent the better part of the afternoon hanging up pictures and art, folding blankets and finding homes for all of our new finds. We crashed down onto the couch when my phone began to buzz, "Oh it's my mom. I'm the worst - I totally forgot to text her." Hunter rolled his eyes with a smile and excused himself.

"Hi Mom"

"Hey, I figured you were alive or Hunter would've called us. How's everything?"

"Yes - sorry, I got blindfolded and surprised. Did you know about this?"

My dad chimed into the conversation. "Yeah, Hunter face timed us last month when he was looking to buy it. It's nice."

"Yeah I was totally surprised. Everything is good though. We bought some little housewarming decorations for ourselves." We chatted for a little longer, my parents reminded me how proud and happy they were. "Hey, Hunt?" No response. What a strange guy, I chuckled to myself. I made my way upstairs, my hand gliding up the cherry wood banister and heard what sounded like a rush of water. As I walked closer I could smell vanilla candles and a heard a gentle voice behind the en suite door.

"Come have a bath babe," Hunter's eyes were warm, his face soft. "I need to go run an errand for Sam, you deserve to relax. I won't be long" He kissed my forehead and handed me a big fluffy towel.

"See you soon. Be safe."
