(Sorry it took so long, I had to change the chapter halfway through and writers block was the worst)

Okay, just ask him if you both can hang out at the party. It'll be fine! Don't back out Laurence, just grow a pair already.

"Laurence you've been talking to yourself int eh mirror for twenty minutes! Are you coming or not?!" I heard Dante call from downstairs. I gave myself one last look in the mirror and nodded, I can do this. I shuffled downstairs, my confidence fleeting with every step, and then I was in front of Garroth, who passed me the bag. "Are you going to change or not? We've got a party to get to."

I nodded slowly and took the bag. He pay have sounded calm, but I could tell form the way he looked at me and the tenseness around him he was mad about something. Of course he is Laurence, you've been avoiding him for weeks. I sighed and walked into the bathroom, pulling out the costume. "Heh, of course." Inside was a costume from one of Garroth and I's favorite anime. quickly put it on and walked over to him, finally looking at his costume. He had the bartender suit down, even the glasses and the cigarette looked exactly the same. Now all he needs is a lamp post and someone annoying.

(Anyone know who it is? No? Okay i'll go)

I did say he'd make a good Shizuo. I pulled lightly on the fluffy dark jacket on me and messed around with the fake knife in my hand. Never said i'd make a good Izaya though. I sucked in a breath and walked over to Garroth, shoving the toy knife into my pocket. "Hey, um, can we talk at the party? There's something I gotta tell you." Garroth simply nodded and turned towards Dante, who looked at us both with a worried expression. Without another word we made our way to Aph's place.

The tension was finally gone as Nicole made her way over to us. She smiled at Dante, who looked away embarrassed, and dragged us inside. The party was pretty loud and as soon as we came in we all split up. I tried to find Aphmau, hoping she was close by so I could get some advice from her about these nerves. I finally found her sitting next to Travis, who had come to the party earlier, talking about his trip. She looked up and her smile widened as she saw my nervous face. "Hey Laurence!" She got up and smiled, telling Travis she'd be right back and dragging me off. She pulled me upstairs where it was quieter let out a breath. "From your nervous face I'm guessing your going to tell her?" I nodded and gulped, the butterfly's in my stomach only growing. "You nervous?" I could only nod at her question as I leaned against the wall,  my palms sweaty. She nodded. "After I found out I liked Aaron I was the same."

I looked up at her and she gave me a reassuring smile. "Its okay to be scared Laurence, but it isn't healthy or fair to yourself to keep avoiding it. You have to tell them. For both your sakes. It the right thing to do." She was right. I had to tell Garroth. I thanked Aph and came back down to the party, looking for Garroth. I needed to tell him now, before I chickened out and ran away from it again. I'm a man. So I gotta act like one.

When I finally found him he was sitting alone looked at the drink in his hand. "Uh, Garroth? Can we talk now?"

He looked up at me and sighs. "I'm not feeling good Laurence, I think I'm going to head home." "What? But you were fine earlier." He shook his head. "I had a bit of a headache. I'm just not feeling good, okay?" He turned but I stood in front of him. "This is important though." "Laurence it can wait." I shook my head frantically at his answer. "Just, tell me another time. I'm going home." He turned and sped walked through the crowd so. People and out the door.

I raced after him, ignoring everyone else and dashing out the door. I finally caught up to him as he crossed the street and grabbed his arm, turning him and grabbing hold of his shirt collar. "Garroth!"

He turned to me, an angry look on his face. "What the hell is wrong with you? I mean, i know ive been ignoring you, and I'm sorry! But why just run off? You were more excited about this party than any of us!" He shoved my hands off his collar and looked away. "Dammit Laurence...I saw you two."

"What? Me and who?" I asked.

"I saw you and Aphmau! I saw you confess and I saw her reaction!" I froze. He what? "Garroth what are you talking about?"

"I'm not stupid, I know you've been running off, and I was getting worried. So I followed you to Aph's place. And I was watching and saw you confess you her, and she hugged you. Laurence what the hell?

What is he even talking about!? I never confessed to-WAIT.

The practice confession. He was watching through the window. Oh god.

"Garroth I swear that's not what it was! I didn't actually confess to Aphmau! I couldn't do that!" His eyes widened a bit at my answer. "What do you mean?"

I choked on the words. Why can't I say it. I was going to tell him earlier, so why am I freezing up now? "I can't tell you exactly what was happening, not right now. But I promise that wasn't it! She's with Aaron!"

The hope in his eyes seemed to fade a bit. "Why can't you tell me? We tell eachother everything." I gulped. "I-I just can't, please just trust me." I looked up at him pleadingly and he sighed. "I want to..." he mumbled. "...If you can trust me, trust Aphmau. She would never cheat on Aaron. You and I both know that."

He stopped and looked at me, almost searching my eyes for an answer.

"...Alright Laurence, I'll trust you."

He forced a small smile and continued back home. I trailed behind him and we both went our separate ways as I chose dthe door to my room and flopped on the bed.

God I fucked up.
