Friendship Sucks

"I ruined our friendship! He'll never trust me again!" I groaned as Katelyn pet my head. "Cool, cool. Now are you gonna get off me? Your tears are staining my jeans."

I shot my head up and gasped in fake offense. "You're the worst Katelyn!" She only rolled her eyes. "I don't care, I liked these jeans." I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "God I wish Aph was here."

She only shrugged. "Yeah, but Aaron's been more touchy Feely with her and asked her out on a date." We both cringed symultaniously, shuddering at the thought. She seemed to relax a bit and raised an eyebrow. "If what's happening between you and garroth is SO HORRIBLE, why don't you just tell him why you were with Aph?"

My cheeks heated up immediately and I frantically shook my head. "Nope, no way, there is no chance on Irene's name I will EVER say a word of what happened to him!" She rolled her eyes.

"Laurence. I have two points to make to you." She placed a hand on my shoulder. "One, this house has thin walls." She smirked an I began to put two and two together. I covered my eyes. She knew why I had been talking to Aph. "Katelyyyyynnnn....." I groaned in embarrassment. She laughed and smacked my back a little too hard. "And two, if you live in a house with Kawaii~Chan, you learn the importance of loopholes." At that I raised an eyebrow, slowly inching my hands away from my face. "What do you mean?" She smirked. "Laurence, you neive, cocky, excuse of a man-"

"Hey!"

"-Garroth only asked why you confessed to Aphmau, he didn't ask for specifics. You don't necessarily have to say you were practicing confessing to HIM, only that you were practicing confessing to SOMEONE." I looked at her blankly. "You know, you actually admitting you know I like garroth is, like, ten times more digrading than expected."

"Thats the point Laurence. That's the point."

When I left back to the house I was feeling a little more confident, it had been a couple days since the Halloween party and Garroth and I were clearly talking less, but overall our friendship was okay. It was more an underlying tension between the two of us. I hated lying to Garroth, but I guess this isnt exactly a lie? You know, since I actually do have a crush on someone? (Wow, Katelyn's technique really is powerful! It worked its way into my mind fast!)

I finally got back to the house and opened the door, my confidence surprisingly high for the situation I was about to be in. Garroth was sitting in the living room scrolling on his phone, not realizing I came in yet. "Hey Garroth?" I called as My made my way over to the couch. He looked up and smiled. "Yeah? What's up Laurence?"

I instantly felt all of my confidence vanish in a puff of smoke. FUCK CONFIDENCE! HE'S TOO HOT FOR THAT BULLSHIT!

I slowly sad donw and sucked in a breath. "I wanted to talk to you. It's about the Halloween party..." At that his smiles faded and his gaze became more serious. Holy Irene I already regret this situation.

"What is it?"

I closed my eyes and tried to focus. "I owe you an explination for what happened with me and Aph, it just took me a while to get the guts to say it.". He nodded slowly. It was now or never. "A-Aphmau, well, she had uh...." He raised an eyebrow. "She what? I swear to you Laurence if your about to say she showed you her pony collection again i'll-"

"She was helping me because I like a guy!"

Wow. Okay. That might've been a bit more information than I needed to share. Garroth's jaw dropped and he grasped onto his phone for dear life. "Laurence..." I slowly onled one eye to look at him.

He grabbed me and pulled me into a giant hug, his smile wide. "Why didn't you tell me you liked men!" Well that was an unexpected reaction. "That explains everything!" Now it was my turn to act surprised. "Everything???" He nodded and dropped me. "You were so nervous around me for the past while! But I get it now!" I felt my face heat in instantly. "Wait, y-you do!?" He smirks and I can feel my chest thumping a mile a minute. "I didn't know I was a ttractive to men as well!" He said proudly, I was about ready to drop dead right there. Until this happened.

"Laurence, you should've told me that my sheer attractiveness was giving you sexual confusions! I mean, I know I'm attractive, but me causinf you to realize your love for another man? Who knew my looks were such a gift to your life?" And thank Irene he was about as smart as we was ugly.

"Uhhh...you got me?"

He smiled triumphantly and wrapped an arm around my shoulder. "Don't worry about telling me the man's name, Laurence! I'm just glad you trust me! This is the start of a new horizon in our friendship!"

He's got that right, at least.

Thanks to everyone for being patient with me while I worked on this chapter! I was trying to help my partner who I'm doing this collab with, but it hasn't been going so well, so I decided to work on my side of the book and set it as my top priority over helping hers come along since a lot of people have been asking for it. I will try to get some chapters out soon, but I am not confirming anything since I'm currently in the process of working on my highschool application.
