Zack's P.O.V
I was walking into the local Starbucks when I bumped into someone who was on their way out. I began to apologize. Looking up, I saw Gretta.
"Oh my god, Gretta! Naomi is looking for you! We thought that you had gotten lost. You didn't come home last night and we were so worried." I exclaimed.
Gretta looked exhausted, there were bags underneath her eyes. As if she hadn't slept in days.
"Do you want to come over? Maybe sleep." She shook her head.
"I just want some alone time." She yawned.
"I'm just worried about you." I looked her straight in the eye. She sighed in understanding.
"I'll go." I took her hand.
We walked down the sidewalk, and back to my apartment.
When I left the kitchen Gretta was passed out on the couch again.
She needed the sleep. She got kidnapped and her parents died.
I laid a blanket over her and then sat on the chair. I fell asleep and dreamt of what would've happened if things were different between me and Gretta.
Gretta was still sleeping at 11 AM the next day. I figured that I'd keep letting her sleep, so I went for a jog.
I dropped Gretta off at Naomi's house when I got back, saying I'd pick her up at five.
I ran a couple of errands and did some chores.
Then it was time to pick up Gretta. It kinda felt like babysitting a child.
For the next week or so, I stayed with Gretta, and watched over her. Helping her when she felt like she couldn't get out of bed, checking on her every single day. I care for her when she's at her worst, when she hates herself, cause I love the things she hates about herself.
