(Jason's pov)

After a week I am finally able to move into my new home, sometimes it paid to be wealthy. Looking around the house and appreciating the renovations that had been made. The floors were stripped down and resealed making the wood floors shine like new. The walls had been painted on a subtle grey scale with earth tones. All of the kitchen appliances had been replaced and the counters redone in marble. The backyard had been tamed and a small pond put in, the staircase redone and polished. Altogether it was beautiful, and my furniture was in the process of being delivered. Moving upstairs I heaved my bags to the master bedroom and shoved them into the closet to deal with later, for now I was hungry and slightly bored.

Nodding to the movers I meandered down and out of the house, time to find food I thought as my stomach grumbled. After walking aimlessly for a few blocks I spotted a sub shop and smiled, the last time I bought a sub I was tackled by that huge dog.

After buying my sandwich I spotted the park benches again. Looking back I realized that this was the same shop from that day. Shrugging it off I sat down and opened my sandwich. Just as I went to take a bite my phone began to vibrate with a call from an unknown number.

"This is Jason, how may I help you." I poked my sandwich slightly irritated, all I wanted to do was eat my food.

"Please, please tell me your not at the park."

Struck speechless I pulled my phone away from my ear and stared at it.

"Hello.." the voice continued, " Well if you are my dog busted loose again and I am really hoping he doesn't maul you again."

"Oh, Oh yeah....oomph" and that is when I found myself under a dog and once again without a sandwich.

"You okay?" The voice asked from the other side of the phone.

Halfway through our park walk Bruce broke free and took off, this being only the second time ever I was praying I was wrong and pulled out my phone. Scrolling down to *park hottie* I internally cringed at myself and hit dial.

" This is Jason, how may I help you." His voice came across the phone like a piece of smooth chocolate pie, deep yet smooth and soulful. Clenching my hand into a fist I was still hoping I was wrong.

"Please, please tell me your not at the park" the phone stayed silent

"Hello?" I spoke again squeezing my eyes shut, this was about as embarrassing as calling a middle school crush. " Well if you are my dog busted loose again and I am really hoping he doesn't maul you again." I huffed out tired of the silence.

"Oh....oh yeah.....oomph."

I looked at my phone it sounded like the man just fell down.

"You okay?" I questioned my nurse training kicking in.

The response was a muffled "found your dog, we are at the same bench, God what do you feed this guy."

Quickly I just hung up and started jogging across the park towards my wayward dog. Upon arrival I was greeted with the sight of what used to be a sandwich wrapper and a pair of legs sticking out from under Bruce. Grabbing his collar I tugged Bruce off the man once again and tied him to the table. Looking back at the man I drank in the sight before me. He was laying on his stomach catching his breath but all I could focus on was the fact that he was wearing some tight jeans. As I was wondering how he got his muscular ass into them I completely spaced out and missed that he began to talk.

"..ey, Hey!" I was brought back from my musings when he waved his hand in my face.

"I'm sorry, what did you say?" I asked as I refocused onto his face, with mine heating up in embarrassment.

"I was asking your name." He chuckled, " But now I'm worried, do you always walk your dog when your so tired?"

"Bruce."

"Huh?" He asked slightly tilting his head

"His name is Bruce."

"Ah, well Bruce and I seem to be acquainted, so what's your name?"

"Reese, but I am terrible with names so I'm sorry but I don't know yours."

"Jason, glad to make your acquaintance Reese." He reached his hand out to shake mine.
After I shook his hand I began to assess the surroundings.

"Let me buy you another sandwich, Bruce has killed two of yours." Sighing I continued " I know this is the second time this has happened, but I swear Bruce has never done this before."

"Don't worry about it, I really don't mind and the sandwich was cheap, maybe he knows I need a friend." He squatted down and began to ruffle Bruce's fur. Suddenly he sighed " Unfortunately, I must be going, and I know this is gonna sound weird but if you ever want to meet up without me being tackled, feel free to text my number."

"Okay.. well have a good day I guess."

He smiled slightly "Yeah, You too, bye Bruce." As he began to walk away Bruce barked out a goodbye.

Once again I looked down at Bruce wondering aloud what the hell just happened.
