Then she realized what she just said.
"What? I did no such thing! I never killed Sonic! He's well and alive. What are you talking about?" Shadow asked.
"Nothing! Just forget I said anything." Amy said.
She sighed.
"Fine, I'll eat. What's on the menu?" Amy asked.
"About anything you want." Shadow answered.
"A pop tart is good." Amy said.
"Are you sure? I can make bacon or something." Shadow offered.
"I said a pop tart is good." Amy said.
Shadow waited at the door.
"Are you coming out to eat or not?" Shadow asked, getting very impatient.
"I'll eat in here thank you." Amy said.
"What? No, you have to come out here. I don't want you making a mess in there." Shadow said.
"I won't make a mess. Trust me. Besides, I don't really want to see your face right now." Amy said crossing her arms.
"Rose you come out here right now!" Shadow yelled.
"Why? Why do you want to see me so badly? It's like you actually want to hang out with me or something!" Amy yelled.
"Rose, you will come out here. If you don't, I will break down this door and get you myself!" Shadow threatened.
"Pft! I don't care! You're gonna be the one paying for the new door." Amy said.
Damn, she's right. Shadow thought.
"You know what? You're going to have to starve unless you come out here!" Shadow yelled.
"Then I guess I will. I'd rather die than be with you!" Amy yelled.
"Rose, I thought you out of all people, would actually would be wanting to get along with me! But I guess I was wrong." Shadow said.
He walked away from her room. Amy ran to her bed and cried. She was hungry, but she didn't want to see him. Shadow stormed off to the kitchen and threw a plate on the floor.
"Why can't she cooperate?" Shadow yelled.
She looked over to a picture of Maria.
"Maria, I'm trying to make someone happy, but she just refuses whatever I try and do for her. What am I doing wrong? What have you gotten me into?" Shadow asked.
He made himself a bowl of cereal and listened to some music. He hated being alone. He wanted someone to talk to. Someone who would listen and someone who would understand. After a couple minutes, he took off his headphones and stopped eating. He heard a door open. Amy came out from the hallway.
"Hey Shadow." Amy said nervously.
"Oh, hello. Do you want to eat?" Shadow asked.
"Yeah. Can I have the pop tart?" Amy asked.
Shadow got up and got a box of pop tarts and handed it to Amy. He pushed her back into her room and closed her door. He knew that she didn't want to eat with him. He went back into the kitchen. He saw Amy come out again.
"Shadow, I'd like to eat out here." Amy said nervously.
"No, I know that you don't want to see me. I'll give you some time to yourself. Go back." Shadow said.
"No Shadow, I'm willing to give you a chance." Amy said.
She sat at the table and ate her pop tart. Shadow walked up behind her and tried to hug her, but she pushed him away.
"What are you doing?" Amy asked.
"Umm... nothing." Shadow said. Amy continued to eat.
Amy looked over at the picture of Maria.
"Hey, is this Maria?" She asked picking up the picture. Shadow ran over and snatched it from her.
"Don't ever touch this picture! Ever!" He yelled.
