i wake up to the sound of my phone ringing.

i groan.

"who the hell would call me in the middle of the night?" i say to myself.

i get my phone off my nightstand and turn on the phone.

the brightness almost blinds me.

i rub my eyes and see who the caller is.

i tap on the green circle.

"hello?" i say.

"hey gray." i hear her voice.

"what's up?" i clear my throat.

"i couldn't sleep so i chose to call you." i had a feeling she smiled saying that.

"so you chose to call me at like," i look at the time. "at 2:13 in the morning?"

"you're right." she giggles.

music to my ears.

"what do you wanna do now?" i ask.

she's done this before.

called me in the middle of the night and asked if i wanted to go adventure with her.

i mean i couldn't say no.

"wanna go adventure?" i hear her say.

"sure." i get up.

"well hurry up cause i'm already outside." she hangs up.
