3) A home

Jazz POV

''So he is an orphan?'' Ask my very best friend, as he hand me as smoothie, while I am working on a battery charger.

''He is. I watched the memory card from Freddy, and the interesting conversation he had with the security guard, made me curious. So of course would I investigate.'' I inform him and take a sip of the multi fruity smoothie.

''What are you gonna do about him?'' Ask my friend, leaning on my working table. I take a small glance at my tablet to see the security camera. He and Freddy are by the spider swing. Gregory is on the swing, while Freddy push him to get higher.

''I can't separate the two. They are like glue now... And I promised him.'' I simply say and continue with the battery charger.

''Oh, the famous Jaqueline promise.'' Mock my friend and act a little dramatic. I rolled my eyes and push him a little, making him lose balance and fall to the ground. I didn't even spare him a look.

''Let's go back to business, Simon.'' I remind him and turn my chair around to look at him. ''Will you try to do what I asked for? Or are you to busy to look for a job, you rich boy?''

''Well, this could be a possible job, that I don't mind to have.'' Says Simon, with a joking tone just like me.

''Good to hear, my good sir. Now scram before I call the security.'' I mock with the tone of a super snobby rich girl.

''Fair well, my lady.'' Says Simon back with the same tone, even bowing to me. We both laughed, and I watched him leave through the open garage door. There are some trees following the road, so Simon can leave without getting spottet by Gregory, or Freddy for that matter.

''Jazz.'' I look towards the door that is connected to the house.

''Yeah.'' I call back and see Gregory and Freddy enter. ''Ah, you are right on time. I am done with a temporer battery charger for the car battery, that then can charge up Freddy during the night.''

''Already? It has just been one day.'' Says Gregory amazed and come closer. I show him the small device with some cables connected to the car battery.

''It needs to be supervised from time to time.'' I start explaining the battery. ''It is a pure magnet energy generator. Spinning the lever will make the wheel, with magnets on, start spinning and each magnet with pass this by this bigger magnet, placed right on the energy generator.'' I demonstrate to Gregory by spinning the lever and have the magnet wheel spin. ''The energy the magnets make, when they pass by, will the generator take and convert it to pure energy, that will go through the cables and into the battery.''

''So, will it stop spinning when the battery is full?'' Ask Gregory curious, but I just shook my head.

''It doesn't work like that, but it doesn't matter anyway.'' I ensure him and then point towards Freddy. ''When it is night time, shall Freddy be in here, secured strapped to that wall, and have these two cables connected to Freddy's ears. Red cable on his left ear, the blue on his right ear.''

''Left red, right blue. Got it.'' Says Gregory and nodded to my instruction.

''You really have a talent, Jaqueline.'' Praise Freddy to me.

''Thank you.'' I said back and speed up the magnet wheel. Then stand up from my seat and look down at Gregory. ''Let's go to the shopping mall and find you some clothes.''

''I-I don't know... You are letting me stay here for free and can eat delicious food for free. I can't let you buy me clothes too.'' Denied Gregory, which I find very cute.

''Well, I don't mind.'' I say back to him, then thought of something that might make him happy. ''Can't I give my adopted son some clothes?''

''A-Adopted?'' Repeat Gregory shocked at that specific word. I nodded with a calm smile.

''Well, you can't always wander around as an orphan. You might get taken back to the orphanage. So why not adopt you.'' I point out, waiting to hear his reaction.

''Y-You... really w-want me?'' Ask Gregory and slowly gets some tears in his eyes.

''I won't force you. So if you don't want me to adopt you, then I respect that and you are still welcome to stay.'' I inform him, being very calm about all this.

''No, no, no. I wanna be adopted.'' Exclaim Gregory and hug me.

''Well then. Welcome to the family.'' I greet him and hug him tight. Even lifting him up.

''I am so glad for you, Superstar.'' Says Freddy and walk closer to us, then join in the hug. We all just stay there for a moment, but then I break it up.

''So, shall we go to the mall, Gregory? This house is totally secure, so Freddy can't easily stay here without being found.'' I promised the boy, since I figure he is worried of his first best friend.

''I...'' Hesitate Gregory and look at Freddy.

''Don't worry about me, Gregory. If Jaqueline says so, then it is true.'' Says Freddy, comforting Gregory to go with me.

''Okay then. I come with you.'' Agree Gregory finally and take my hand. I just smile to him and lead him out of the garage and towards my silver GMC truck. Gregory turn around and wave to Freddy. ''See you later, Freddy.''

''See you later, Superstar.'' Wave Freddy too and watch as Gregory jump into my car. I walk right back and activate the security system and make the garage doors close, then jump into the driving seat.

*Time skip*

When we return back, do I collect all the bags from the truck, while Gregory run and open the front door for me.

''Freddy, we are back.'' Called Gregory and take a bag from my hand, then run into the living room to show the animatronic what he got. ''Jazz bought me new clothes, some shoes and even some toys, like this one.'' Gregory pull out a plane model and quickly get it out of its package.

''That is great, Gregory.'' Says Freddy, watching Gregory play with the plane. I just smile at the scene while putting all the grocery to their places.

''He really had a hard time, choosing what toy to get.'' I reveal, making Gregory blush.

''Jaqueline, may I ask you something?'' Ask Freddy suddenly, looking at me. I look to my side, then back.

''Yeah, what is the matter?'' I ask, waiting to hear the question.

''Who was the person you talked to this morning?'' Ask Freddy, surprising me a little. How did he know Simon was here.

''It was a friend of mine. And don't worry, he won't tell anyone that you guys are here.'' I ensure them, before Gregory would start panicking.

''What did you talked about?'' Ask Gregory curious, looking away from his new toy.

''No need to worry. You will know it soon, but for now, lets say it is a surprise.'' I say back to him and start preparing dinner.

''A surprise? For us?'' Ask Freddy surprised by that. I nodded without a word.

''I wonder what that could be?'' Wonder Gregory out loud and continue playing with his toy plane. Freddy find another toy from the bag and got it out, then play along with Gregory. I smile at the scene, but something moving from the corner of my eye got my attention. The bottle of salt moved towards me. I flinched and look back to see if the two saw it too, but they are too focus playing, so I glare at the transparet person beside me.

''Mary-Ann. We talked about this.'' I whisper to the blond female ghost.

''Sorry sweety, I just wanna help.'' Says Mary-Ann back. I roll my eyes and make sure the two doesn't notice this. 

''I know, but please hold back until I find a way to tell them.'' I whisper carefully and continue preparing the food. The ghost beside me is my mother figure. I have always been able to see spirits and ghost my entire life, and Marie-Ann is one of those spirits that 'hunts' me. She is super sweet and only want to act as my mother, because I am an orphan, just like Gregory. Or, just like he used to be.
