‷ CHAPTER ONE ‴
THE START◇─◇──◇────◇────◇────◇─◇
I had been schooled at Riverdale High for a couple of months now. At first, I didn't have a lot of friends. Any.. actually. I was a very peculiar girl. Not long after I befriended Betty Cooper who introduced me to her little 'posey'. Since then, us five have been inseparable. "So Jimmy, what do think about joining the Blue and Gold?" Jughead asked me as he bit into a fry. A frown appeared on my forehead.
"Sounds fun, but there is one problem.. I can't write for shi-" He cut me off. "Are you kidding me!? That article that you wrote our history essay was fantastic. You should really try it out." I rolled my eyes while a smile crept up on my face. "Fine." "So, I was thinking about throwing a party!' Veronica excitedly announced.
"Yeah, sorry V. Can't attend. I have two reports due for the day after." I said as I sipped on my milkshake. "Bummer. Well is the rest coming? Inner circle only." She said as she winked at Jughead earning a eye roll from him. "I'll be there." Archie stated. Betty joined in. "I guess me too since I have nothing to do." "Great then it's settled. Party for the VBJAJ squad." I chuckled. "That was so cringey." "I'll come if I can bring a few Serpents." Everyone quieted down. "Uh, sure.. but you can only bring three."

"Sweetie, I have to make a quick stop in Seattle." My mom said as she dropped her bags on the ground with a loud thud. "How long will you be staying?" "Two weeks tops." I sighed knowing that I should temporarily stay with Jughead and his father again. I have known them since I was nine. Which is now, about six years. They are fun and all but.. I really don't want to be living in a trailer for the next two weeks. "Can't I stay with Betty?" I asked with a pout. "No. You know I don't trust new people." I rolled my eyes.

"Again?" Jughead asked with a grin on his face while I stood against his trailer. "Yes. This time it's California." I never knew or cared what my mom her job was until now. He pushed the door further open.
I sat on the old, trusted couch. "Nothing has changed in here." I said while admiring every since square feet of the room. "Thanks, I guess. But I gotta go. Tall Boy wants to parlay." I nodded. "Hold down the fort." He teased. "Like I always do."
It had been hours later and I was almost finished with one of my report. I sighed while I looked at the progress so far. "That's what happens when you try to do things at the last minute you bozo." I mumbled to myself. I grabbed my laptop and my research papers and stuffed it into my bag. I couldn't survive doing this homework without some company.
"Hey, JJ. What are you doing here?" FP asked as soon as I stepped into the Whyte Wyrm. He was the only one who called me JJ. It brought up some childhood memories which I couldn't help to smile about. "Pooh had to leave again." He nodded and then smiled. "I'll bring you something to eat."
My research papers where all scattered across the table as FP brought my food. I removed some of it from the table to make space. "Thanks FP." "No problem little one." He said as he ruffled my hair with his hands. Not long after, the bell ringed on the dining door. A bunch of loud Serpents walked in. They shoved each other and laughed.
I rolled my eyes at their childishness and dove back into my work. "Hey what is a Northsider doing here?!" A guy with a sharp jawline shouted. I ignored him, hoping that he would go away because I was not in the mood to slap anyone today. "I asked you something little girl!" I looked over and saw five other guys standing next to him. One of them, catching my attention. He was tall, had jet black hair that matched well with his tan complexion, not to mention the tattoo on his neck that made him look ten times more attractive.
"Fangs! Leave the girl alone! She's family." FP shouted at the guy. He looked at me and scoffed. "Well I don't care who you are but this is our table." I folded my arms. "Find another one." He stepped forward but was pulled back my his friends. "Wow. Were you really going to beat me because of a table? Classic. Just classic." He walked off. When I looked back at the mysterious guy, he was already staring at me. My eyes soon unlocked with his because of the intensity of his gaze. "Let's go." He said with a raspy voice that made my heart leap.
He gave me one last look before turning around and walked to the pool table. I breathed out air that I didn't even knew I was holding in. I've never had such a deep and engaging eye contact with anybody. It felt as if.. as if I had known him for my entire life.
From that day on, I couldn't seem to get him out of my mind. Even when I was on the toilet I caught myself wondering if he thought about me.
