Waking up to the obnoxious beep of my alarm is my least favourite way to wake up on any day but when it's 5:30am, that just makes it worse.
I rolled over, smothering my face in my pillow while I felt around my bedside table to shut the annoying thing off. Just as I got back into a comfy spot, my blankets were ripped off me, exposing my skin to the cold of the morning.
"Wakey wakey big sis! Today is going to be the best day ever" My little brother, Tim, jumped up onto my bed, bouncing me around.
"Get lost squirt" I grumbled, curling up into a ball.
"Not until you get up. You're going to college today and I get this room. Do you think I should put my bed on this wall or should my TV go here?" He asked annoyingly.
"I think that if you don't get out right now, there will be no need for a TV because I will have scratched your eyes out" I threatened. Okay, so I wasn't much of a morning person if the sun hadn't risen yet.
"Mum! Ally threaten to blind me again!" Tim called out.
"Ally, leave your brother alone!" She shouted from the bottom of the stairs.
"You little-" I seethed at Tim, jumping out of bed.
"Oh no" His eyes widened as he ran towards the door. Little brothers are the most annoying thing.
I closed my bedroom door and looked around at the mostly empty space.
Today was the day. Today was Sunday, September 7th. Today was the day that I would move into my apartment, ready for college.
"Alice! Are you ready yet?" Mum knocked on my door.
"Nearly!" I answered going into my bathroom to get ready, "I'll be there soon!"
I got the only clothes that I hadn't packed yet, quickly changing into some black jeans and a white t-shirt, tying a flanny around my waist. I chucked my naturally wavy hair into a messy pony tail, only putting on a bit of light makeup. After shoving my pyjamas into the last box, I picked up to take downstairs so I could load it into my car.
"Want some breakfast Alice?" Mum smiled at me, which was strangely weird. Mum hadn't smile at me since... I can't even remember. Dad walked over and patted her shoulders.
"Yes, please. I'm starving" I said back with a yawn. Mum and dad chuckled at me. "What? It's early" I shrugged eyeing them strangely. My parents are never this nice to me. Ever.
I smiled at the bowl of fruit and a piece of toast placed in front of me. I could never skip breakfast and found it hard to fathom out how my boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend, back in Australia could miss it every day. But then again he was always too high to get up before 12.
I shuddered at the thought of Steve. We hadn't been serious, in fact he was really just someone I kept around because it pissed mum and dad off, but he sure made a lasting impression.
He really wanted to make this relationship long distance but I had to let him down easily and tell him it wasn't going to work. It wasn't ever going to work out. He was just a really good kisser and part of my plan.
Once I finished my food, I made my way outside to where dad was loading the last box.
My car was packed full of brown boxes with everything I needed for college while mum and dad's car only had a few. They insisted that they would drive down with me and make sure I got settled in. They said that they wanted to know where I was staying and make sure I felt at home but I knew they just really didn't trust me, thinking I would end up living with some drug dealer.

Bed Warmer
Umorismo"Good morning sunshine" A voice spoke into my ear. I groaned, shoving my head under the pillow to try and get away from the noise. "I don't think so. This is my bed and I say it's time to get up." The voice took away the pillow and stripped me of my...
