I wake up to the sound of sobbing coming from the other room, I jump up and throw on a sweatshirt. I run to Sam's room, I open the door and see sam huddled up in the corner of his bed, balling. "Sam sam sam what's wrong." I ask, he points to the corner of his room, I don't see anything. "What, there's nothing there." I say, he puts out his hands and cries harder. "Do you want me over there?" I ask, he nods, I walk over and sit next to him, he points to the corner again. "It's over there, it's that shadow thing again." He cries, I still don't see anything. "Sam there's absolutely nothing there." I say, he screams. "What!" I yell, he looks at me. "It's in front of you." He says through his tears, I look in front of me, nothing. "It's gonna kill you colby." He says, I hug him, he cries into my shoulder. "You're ok sam, I'm ok too, just calm down it's ok." I say, he takes a deep breath and squeezes me tighter. "Colby." He says, nuzzling his head farther into my shoulder, this is how I imagined him and I together. Just cuddling, kissing, hugging, all the time. "Sam." I say, he sniffles. "Can you sleep in here tonight?" He asks, I kiss his head. "Yeah." I say, he releases our hug and cries again. "What babe?" I say, oh my god, I just called him babe, he doesn't acknowledge that I did though. "It's still there, I want it to go away." He cries. "Just lay down sam, everything is ok." I say, he gets under the covers and I lay next to him, I pull him closer and he lays his head down on my chest, still crying. "Sam, just calm down it's ok, your mind sees it not you." I say, he takes a deep breath and wipes his tears, he then moves onto the pillow and curls up next to me, I just remembered, what about Kat?
