As we walked through the forest everyone was messing around like old friends and I just walked slowly in the back.
I listened intently to their conversations and watched as even Noah joined in on their fun.
Eventually, night fell and we set up camp. Everyone set up their tents and fell asleep seeing as we had been walking all day and were exhausted.
I however stayed awake and sat by the newly lit fire.
I couldn't help but to miss my family though we hadn't been gone a day.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by Noah taking a seat next to me.
"I thought you'd gone to bed." I told him.
"I couldn't sleep." Was his reply.
We sat and stared at the fire for hours and at one point Noah laid his head on my lap and I let him.
I started running my fingers through his hair and started singing.
After a minute I heard his soft snores and I smiled lightly.
'Maybe loving him won't be so bad.' I thought as I looked as his peaceful face.
With great effort I dragged Noah to his tent and laid him down. He didn't want me to leave as he grabbed my wrist as I was about to leave.
I smiled and gently pulled my wrist away. I didn't stay though. I went and put the fire out and as I was heading for my tent I heard Noah calling out to me in his sleep and sighed.
I slowly made my way to his tent and laid down next to him.
He grabbed my waist and pulled me into him.
I smiled slightly and cuddled into his side.
The sound of his heart beat and even breathing lolled me to sleep slowly. With that I drifted off into darkness.
