Amy's POV
I bet you are all wondering how myself, a clean, well dressed and decent person, could possible fall in love with an immature, childish, adorable detective such as Jake.
It all began with a bet...
(2013):
"Well, what's the worst thing in the world for you, Santiago?" Gina asked from behind.
Being that Jake was then just my annoying work colleague, I answered completely honestly, as I didn't have any feelings toward Jake.
"Being one of those girls in Jake's car." I replied.
The room around us began oohing, before Sergeant Jeffords butted in.
"Okay, Okay, Okay. Then it is settled. If Peralta loses, Santiago gets his car. If Santiago loses, she goes for a date in said car."
Jake stood up from the table he was sat on, and I walked forward. We shook hands, as I was confident I was going to win.
"Game on." Jake said.
"Game on." I repeated.
Fast forward exactly one year, I lost the bet, and went on the date with Jake, in the old mustang. That is where it happened. It was only minor, but I got to know a Peralta I never did know. That was the Peralta I fell in love with.
And now, Jake has been gone for two months, and Teddy still believes that he was fired from the Precinct. I'm not allowed to tell him that he is in fact undercover.
I have no idea when Jake is going to come back, but all I can hope is that he comes back in one piece. That is the dream.
I'm still to tell Teddy, but every time I go to, I wimp out. I can't mask up the strength and courage to do it. What makes it harder is that Teddy is believing that I don't have feelings for Jake anymore, as I don't see him.
But little does he know, my feelings are getting stronger by the minute.
I need to tell Teddy.
I need Jake back at the Precinct.
I need him back in my arms as a congratulatory hug.
Or maybe even more...
