I looked around the dark as night room.

"What happened? Where am I?" I thought. The air feels different somehow. I walked over to a wall and felt around for a light switch. When I found one I switched it on, but nothing happened.

I went into a room which looked like a small nursery, so small it's slightly smaller than a walk-in closet. I know this place, but from where? A small music box in the corner started playing. I don't know why I couldn't walk or look away from. Next thing I know, I'm cradling it in my hands. I was dazed by it.

The light of the stars and moon from outside seem to be getting darker until there was no more light. I don't know why I can't move away.

All I could hear was the sound of the music box. Why do I feel so happy and content just by hearing the sound of this thing? All at once sadness struck and I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Hannah, why are you up sweetheart?" A sweet motherly voice asked. I looked back at my music box. It was gone, I was holding nothing. Tears streamed down my face, but I didn't know why.

"Mommy? When is daddy going to be home? I'm scared," The words popped out of my mouth. I felt arms around me. I looked around again, I found that I was sitting up in my bed and Voltcalren was hugging me. I hugged back. Light shines through my window.

"Wait, was it morning!?" I thought.

"Voltcalren, where is our guest?" I asked. He let go from the hug and so did I.

"She went home, but I asked her and she joined the hunt," He replied.

"I've got to go find her," I replied trying to get out of bed, but my body just wouldn't move. My legs ached.

"You ran too hard yesterday and the day before, plus you didn't sleep much. You're going to stay here," Voltcalren commanded. "Don't you remember what today is?"

"What do you mean?" I asked. My head fell back on to my pillow.

"Hannah. September 20th," Voltcalren replied. I remained confused.

"The anniversary of Horror Hunting," Hannah realized and put her hands to her face. "The day we met," he whispered in my ear.

Flashback

The cold air rushed by me and the night sky glowed with stars. I was laying on the stone rocky ground in an alley.

"Where am I? Who am I?" I wondered standing up. Brick buildings surrounded me. A street lamp flickered and then finally turned off.

The wind started to sound like it came from a tunnel like an eerie sound from a movie. I was paralyzed on the spot. Pink eyes where high above me and stared right at me. A Horror level 9.

"Horror Eyes," It groaned. Tears fell down my face.

"Ha ha! What's this? To scared to fight." It grinned.

"Mommy told me Horror Eyes had no fear. Mommy also told me I have no fear," I replied my voice shaky. "Who's Mommy?" Everything went green.

"WHAT! SHE'S A HORROR HUNTER!" It screamed. My view shifted from green to pitch black.

"Little girl? Little girl?"

I opened my eyes to find myself lying on the ground again.

"I'm Voltcalren," It smiled.

"What happened? Who are you?" I asked softy. My whole body felt numb.

"You saved that horror," It smiled.

"Saved...it? Are you a Horror?" I asked.

"Yes, but I haven't gone mad like that vipen," Voltcalren replied. "If I'm reading your eyes right, Your a Horror Eyes Runner. Was that your first Horror?" Voltcalren asked.

That was the last thing I remember that night and my days of being a Horror Hunter began.
