Horrors Eyes (Season 1)

Chapter Ten: Training

"Alright, now that your first case is over I can start training you," I smiled. Macey and I stood in the living room.

"Hannah, that green explosion at the cemetery? Did I do that?" Macey asked. I nodded.

"I had to wait until you took out your first Horror, so I know what kind of hunter you are. Also, depending on the first Horror you take out, that determines your Horror hunting skills. You also get a lot of stuff from your first Horror; for example my first Horror was a level nine, so I can run really fast because level nines are mostly gas except for their eyes so nothing weighs them down. When I read your eyes earlier you didn't have Horror hunting skill. Reading eyes is a one of the horror hunting skills we have, but it's too early to teach you right now. Voltcalren will read the skills you have," I smiled.

"Can you read my skills?" Macey asked.

"Horror Hunters like us can read if we have them or not, but we can't read the specific skills. That has to be done by a willing Horror unless you're a Hidden Horror. Hidden Horrors are people who have been in a Horror Daze for too long and when they come out they become a Horror. Some people stay the same person and some become full fledged Horrors. Hidden Horrors look just like us unless they show their true form which makes them almost impossible to catch, and on top of that they're super sneaky," I explained. Voltcaren walked over to Macey.

"This might be a little weird," Voltcaren warned. Voltcaren's long hands grabbed her head for a second and Macey dropped to the ground. Macey's eyes glowed orange. Voltcaren bent down to her. Macey rubbed at her eyes.

"Try not to rub," Voltcaren explained taking Macey's hands and putting them by her sides.

"They sting," Macey explained blinking.

"Hold on, I'm almost done," He smiled, holding her head. Macey froze for a second.

"Okay, now you can rub your eyes," Voltcaren instructed. Macey instantly started rubbing her eyes and her eyes stopped glowing.

"Horror Hunter Macey. Skills are from level three Huma Horror. Humas trick you into thinking that they are one of your family members, people you know, or they know. Horror Hunter's skill is shapeshifting," Voltcaren explained.

"Hm, Shapeshifter. Never had a person on my team that had that skill before, but I have heard of it," I smiled. "Alright training time. How did you feel before everything went green?"

"I felt kind of mad at it," Macey replied.

"Any other emotion beside the level of fear from the horror, can access your Horror Eyes. Your strongest emotion to ignore fear is anger. Once you learn to manage the fear with the other emotion you should be able to take it out easily." I explained.

"Hannah. Why have Horrors gone mad?" Macey finally asked.

"We still don't know why? I think is has to do something with the missing children. Children didn't start going missing until fifty percent more Horrors started going mad all of a sudden. These children have been gone for almost three months. Tracking down a Horror usually last two weeks and four days, But I guess this one is very good at hiding. It's also very weird for a Horror to track down children and nobody else," I wondered.

"Why do they track down people and keep them hidden?" Macey asked.

"Well, they're not hiding them, they're turning them into Hidden Horrors," I explained.
