I looked at my watch in my wrist and sighed heavily. Like literally? If few days back someone would have asked me if I will wait for someone then trust me, I would have laughed hard on the question. But see now. God...!

"Sorry... sorry... sorry..." I heard a hurried voice from the door of the cafe and I leaned back to the backrest of chair and wrapped my arms around my chest.

He sat in front of me and held his ears "I am sorry yar... I had a meeting and then I had to sign tons of papers. Don't blame me..." he spoke and gulped the whole glass down his throat.

"You are half an hour late Manik. I am sitting here from past half an hour. Can you believe it. Get this straight Manik Malhotra... Nandini Murthy never waits." I spoke and glared at him.

I picked up the menu to order something to calm myself down. I may burst out of anger.

"Then I guess I am someone special for whom you wait too." He leaned towards me and spoke.

I widened my eyes while he suppressed his smile for a while and then laughed hard holding his stomach.

I hit the menu on his bicep and gritted "very funny Manik"

"Okay okay... why so grumpy..." he asked when he finally stopped laughing.

I let out a tired breath and placed my hands on table.

"My boss... he is not ready to sign the loan papers and can you believe now, even the bank has said no to me for giving the loan. It's been eight months since I am trying and now they are also tired and so they are kind of... you know less interested in giving loan to me." I spoke dejectedly.

"It's so difficult to start up your own thing for a girl. I wish I would have born as a boy." I cursed although I am proud of myself. At this point of time I have achieved so many things when other girls are worried about their manicures and hairs.

He sighed and placed his hands on mine "and that's what makes you different that you keep trying. And you know being a boy I can definitely say life is unfair for us too. You girls show it and we... we don't. Generally, we are a little shy to open up." He spoke while I rolled my eyes.

We ordered the old cream cheese brownie and coffee for ourselves and it arrived in no time.

"So what's the plan ahead?" He asked stirring his coffee.

I looked up at him and pouted "I don't know. Maybe I'll approach new bank. Let's see."

He nodded and then few seconds of silence spread across.

He looked up at me while I was already looking at him.

"Why don't you take your Dad's help Nandini? Or ask your brother about it?" He suggested for like hundred times and I replied him for the hundred times "Manik... I don't want to take any family help. You know it. I want to..."

"You want to open your own manufacturing company and you want to make it to the top. You have your business plan ready, but for the raw materials you need loan. You want to open this company completely on yourself. I know it..." before I even speak, he spoke on my behalf.

I sighed and looked away.

"Should I help?" He out of nowhere spoke.

And my eyes snapped up at him.

He looked at me confusingly and also a little worried. What if I get offended?

"I mean... If you want... I can sign those papers and you can get the loan. I am no family... so... I mean..." he suggested looking down at the coffee.
