Leon's POV:
"One day you'll realised it was hopeless after all".Her words were all I could think of. She was all I could think of.
I punched another wall. She is so annoying. Who does she thinks she is rejecting me? Why doesn't she realise she is all I want, all I need. This wasn't healthy. I needed to get her out of my mind. NOW.
Just at that moment my phone rang. Mum.
Why did she always have to be on my case, I told her I was going for a walk. But I answered it anyway.
"Mum I told you not to both-" I was cut off by a frantically speaking Mum."Leon, It's Mila, she started feeling sick and passed out. The doctors are saying its the cancer. Its spreading. She in the ICU and they are saying, well that she won't make-" her voice cracked at the end.
I was dumb struck. I couldn't move. I knew this was going to happen but not this soon. Not like this. Not now. She only six. She has her whole life ahead of her.
"Leon?" My Mums voice brought me back to life.
Suddenly I was raging.
"The doctors are lying. She won't die. She can't". My voice betrayed me at the end."Leon, just come, quick".
I ran to my car and started it. I was thinking about everything and anything. Yet my brain could not process the information. Suddenly someone stepped out in front of the car and i slammed my brakes, giving me whiplash.
"Watch it moron" he screamed out from in front of me. I was going to reply but I needed to do focus on Mila. I kept on driving fast until I reached the place of misery. I rushed inside.
I ran to the reception desk and went to the lady behind it frantically.
"Ward 6, Room 3, hurry".
"Excuse me"Is she thick? How does she not understand? My sister is.... Never mind and she is saying excuse me! I slammed my hand on the desk and pointed at her.
"My sister is in that room so if you don't tell me where it is, I swear to god I will flip your whole freaking desk up side down and you along with you with it." I was fuming.
By this time everyone was looking at me but I didn't care. I needed to get to Mila and I these idiots wouldn't even let me through.
"Sir if you don't lower you tone I'm afraid I will have to call security and as for Mila... She is in critical condition and no one else is allowed to see her"
"That.. Is my-" Just as I was about to find I saw my Mum at the side of the counter with me. Her cheeks were red and blotchy and her eyes looked puffy. She looked at me: concerned, pleading.
"Leon, come on love" she slowly took my arm and steered me away whilst quickly apologising to the woman on the desk. Huh.
Once we reached the room I saw her. Mila. Except it wasn't Mila. She was completely still with machines surrounding her and wires coming from my her body. Her skin was washed out and pale. I had see Mila sick before but never like this.
I needed to get out of here. I could here my Mum calling me but I practically ran out the room and downstairs. I rested my back on the wall and breathed deeply. Just then I heard voice coming from the room be side me.
A voice that I recognised. No. I was going mad. It couldn't.... Could it? I stepped into the room only to find a thin blue curtain wrapped around a plain white bed.
I grabbed hold of the curtain and pulled it open, a girl with brunette hair was sitting on the bed with a white hospital sheet on and a pipe connecting from her hand to a beeping machine.
She suddenly turned around and for a second I thought my eyes were deceiving me, but they weren't. She was there. I blinked. Still there. I blinked again but there was no escaping it.
Melissa Summers.
She was sick and way more than I thought....
Much love
