The hall with Leon's dorm room seemed to stretch forever, and it was only the second floor.
No one was outside the doors, but Leon could faintly hear whispering coming from the inside of a few rooms.Maybe the people inside weren't whispering. Maybe the door was just so thick that is made their yells seem like whispers.
His room was located at the end of the hall. Wonderful. More walking.
With his bag hung over his shoulder, and his uniform tucked nicely under his arm, he proceeded down the waxed hall way, careful to make his steps as quiet as they could be. He didn't want to attract any attention by walking like Godzilla down the hall with the shiny marble flooring.
Perhaps he was just being paranoid about his roomates. Since he was little, he had gotten along with everyone he met, even if he didn't like them. That was probably one of the reasons he became so popular, along with his brother. They were both kind in some way to anyone they met. Leon had heard that Yong Soo may be one of his room mates. Thank God. At least it was someone he was used to.
He picked up the pace as he continued down the room numbers listed on the silver plaques outside of each door. 290, 292, 294, 296.....
298. Leon reached into his back pocket and pulled out a tiny gold key. A little old fashioned for a college, but it was his only way in. He carefully inserted the key into the lock and turned, hearing the door knob click and loosen. He removed the key and slid it back into his pocket as he opened the door.
"Hello? Who's there?"
Leon jumped as he heard a voice. It was heavy with an accent he was sure he knew of, but couldn't place his finger on. He eased as he heard another voice.
"Yo, Leon! What took you so long, da-ze~?"
Yong Soo sat on his twin bed, kicking his feet back and fourth, gently letting his heels hit the bed board. He looked excited and tired all at the same time. Was that even possible? His hair had lost its spike, and was soft, with his bangs covering his forehead. He wore that same blue sweat suit he wore at home when he was lazy. Of course he would also bring it with him.
"Ah, Yong Soo. Sorry, I had to talk to the head master." Leon said as he set his stuff down beside the bed leaning beside the window. It must be his. The blanket looked exactly like the Hong Kong flag. The place he was born in. That, and it was the only bed without a person on it.
He stood up and tensed. He felt another presence in the room. It was the kid with the nordic accent. Leon glanced at the kid who was laying on his bed on his side, returning the same gaze. His eyes were a calming sea of an elegant purple, and his hair was silver. His blanket was the Iceland flag. Thats's it! He was Icelandic! Explains the nordic accent.
"Why are you staring at me?"
Leon snapped out of his daze. He never actually met someone from a nordic country. He turned on his charming grin. "Sorry, but, what's your name?" he asked.
The boy from Iceland sat up and stretched. "My name is Emil Steilsson, but just call me Emil. It's nice to meet you Leon." Emil didn't smile when he introduced himself. He must be one of those types. The quiet, shy, awkward, ones.
Leon nodded and put a hand on his hip. "Nice to meet you as well, Emil. When did both of you get here?"
Yong Soo flopped onto him stomach, laying against his blanket: the South Korean flag. "Well, I got here when you got here, but since you had to talk to the Head Master, I just came up here by myself. So, probably about, twenty minutes ago."
