Jungkook drove the car smoothly in the setting sun along the footpath as the traffic lessened and the night seeped into the diminishing Seoul sunlight.
And of course, Kim Taehyung was a noticeable presence right beside him.
The younger being shy (and, note down, gay) could not help but feel nervous as Taehyung stared out of the window, definitely sure Jungkook was a creep who avoided socialising.
Well, Jungkook thought, if he thinks that way maybe I will never tell him about my interest (in boys.) Heck, he would not dare tell anyone about it anyway. Only, Jungkook noticed Taehyung was exceptionally cute.
The last rays of light faded as the sun dipped in the horizon. The traffic eased and the pedestrians made their way home.
Taehyung was still a nagging subject in Jungkook's brain.
So to actually start a conversation, and cease to pretend that Taehyung was not there, Jungkook gave a quick side glance to the older one as he slowed his car for another one to overtake him, and asked in the most polite one of his tones;
"So, do you have a girlfriend?" Wow, Jungkook, now he'll think you are a pervert trying to make a deal over a girl— he quickly snapped his head to look straight on the road to avoid any glares directed towards him.
Although, Taehyung was not scowling at him yet still felt uncomfortable as he shifted pointlessly in his leather seat. He answered with a shake of his head, "No, I don't have a girlfriend." After a moment, he started tapping his knee furiously with his index finger. He asked something which made Jungkook go on CODE-RED, CODE RED;
"Do you have a girlfriend?" Tae's innocent voice drilled through the younger's skull, who hit the breaks involuntarily in his absolute terror on a green light, making the old man behind in an older car honk in frustration.
Why of all questions, that one?
