Jungwoo had chosen the date to be at a small park because he wanted me to push him on the swings, so he could 'touch the stars and the moon'. I watch him swing back and forth, an expression of happiness on his cute face. If only I could actually press my hands against his back, feeling the soft material of his favourite pink sweater whilst sending him flying towards the stars and sailing back into my arms as he descended. If only I could sit in the swing beside his, talking about everything and nothing and then pulling him closer to me for a gentle kiss.

His messages were starting to scare me. Maybe there's a bug in the game? A glitch? A sudden pang of sadness tugs at my heart. Jungwoo can never be a real person.

The light catches on Jungwoo's face as the screen transitions to his apartment, visible tears streak his rosy cheeks. My heart catches in my throat. The game developer is cruel to make these characters so realistic; so human.
Jungwoo sits on his couch, a bowl of cereal appears in his lap and he munches quietly.
ME > I'm sorry, Jungwoo.
ME > I didn't know I would upset you
His gaze moves up from his cereal and he stares directly at me. Warm, chocolatey eyes that hold so many emotions and stories pierce right through me.
JW < I shouldn't have started it
JW < I love u u3u
The three words I never expected to hear makes the small drum in my chest pounds incredibly loudly and I'm worried that the neighbours will send a noise complaint because of it. A grin pulls at my lips and I find myself smiling at Jungwoo's message, forgetting the past sadness.
ME > I love you too ♡
