Tiger Jasper pleaded, even fell to her knees and broke out into tears in fear she'd be shattered. Yellow and I looked to each other. We'd been typing the same word over and over: Please.
"...mean any disrespect, but I just didn't understand the magnitude of all this! I really don't want to die, My Diamonds! I simply want to live, even if it is in a cell. I had no idea that shattering one Fluorite would cause so much uproar-"
Blue held up a hand, her eyebrow raised. "We've heard enough of you to determine you guilty. You still haven't answered our question of who you are working for."
Jasper stood, having been on her knees, and wiped her eyes. "Yes, yes, of course, my patron..." She stammered, then looked to me. Rolling my eyes, I continued to write.
Tiger Jasper looks to me as if I can provide some sort of comfort. Not being able to do so to a fugitive, I reluctantly continue to type.
I erased that last sentence, then replaced it with, not being able to do so to a fugitive, Jasper holds her glare and watches me write. Jasper looked to Pink, then to the rest. "Well?" Pink asked, propping her jaw up on her fist. She looked quite bored.
"My patron is...is..."
Blue Zircon placed her face in her hand, already knowing what was going to happen if she lost this trial. "Spit it out, damnit!" Yellow spat. "It's not that hard to say one simple name!"
"You wouldn't know them, My Diamond." Jasper said. I gasped. The bravery she had was rather impressive, but the way she was using it was stupid. Yellow stood and snatched Jasper by her hair, holding her up to her face. "Say her name now, or I imbue that pathetic and useless gem with electricity."
"His name is White Tanzanite." At that statement, Yellow dropped her. Once Jasper hit the ground, Yellow lifted her boot and pressed down on Jasper's head. Not enough to kill her, but enough to Poof her.
"Zircons, back to your chambers. Us Diamonds must speak about this in private. Pearls, keep recording, will you?" The Zircons were sent back to their private rooms, and Yellow turned to White, throwing up her hands. "His?"
"I thought you had destroyed all the male gems, Yellow," Blue protested, standing as well. "Burned them to a crisp and made sure there was nothing left of their gems but ash and smoke."
White stood as well, and rubbed her chin. "Have you ever heard of White Tanzanite?" Yellow shook her head, and Pink stood and walked up to her fellow Diamonds. She looked small and feeble compared to their size, but she was still a new Diamond. She'll adjust, won't she? I thought. Perhaps I should order limb enhancers for her, or have her private armorer make her some...
I shook my head. I'd already missed the first half of their conversation. "Pink Pearl," Yellow whispered over to me. I looked over and she gave me a nod. "Try to stay on Homeworld, alright?" I almost giggled, but turned back and continued to record.
"...something you don't need to know about, Pink. They were vile and cruel and they're gone now," White finished explaining, trying to run a hand through Pink's hair. Pink leaned away.
"I'm a Diamond, remember? I should know about this. Male gems? This is huge...on my planet, there are males and females. In my other form....formation, as in army, my Pearl has met a human and been told she looks very much like a female. Male is a human term, White; have you been to Earth before?"
White blinked, then shook her head. "Yes, don't you remember? You were having trouble keeping certain gems at bay...called the Crystal Gems, I believe. Oh, their leader was terrible! Rose Quartz, she calls herself. Some leader she is." White continued to insult Rose, and Pink looked to me with her lips pressed into a thin line. I wasn't writing, nor would I ever write something as vile as the things White was saying about Pink's other form.
